At this price this guitar is a steal. Got one back in June for $110. Absolutely worth it. Gig bag alone should run you $25 (it's better than a dust cover). Sound is really nice from the pickups and they are absolutely not microphonic or anything. The only work I had to do was the fret ends. Not horrible but a bit rough. Not any worse than my $800 Epiphone Les Paul custom though. I suggest getting a stew Mac fret end file (it's very easy to use, just watch their video) or you can try your luck with a Brillo pad.

The neck is chunkyish, thicker than my Les Paul custom, but I personally still loved it. Access to higher frets is a breeze. Comes with daddario 10 strings, and bends are easier than on a Les Paul. Mine came with perfect intonation. F-holes are bound as opposed to a 335, and the red isn't a flat red, it shows the wood grain. The photos on monoprice are far from the actual beauty of this guitar.

Just keep in mind, if you look around, you will find imperfections on this guitar. Was it any more than my $800 Les Paul? Probably less.

I love it for playing jazz blues and rock. People I play with always found the guitar's sound impressive. If you're not too crazy about little details and do not have a center block semi hollow guitar, this is a perfect entry into it.

Anyone have one of these to talk about the quality of sound, craftsmanship, etc?

I bought one of these a couple of years ago when I had just started on my guitar journey. Mine was a bad example of a guitar- neck was warped, the pickup height could not be adjusted probably missing springs. I have 6 Indio guitars in all, 4 of them deluxe models. While all their guitars needed some work, my boardwalk was unfixable by me. At this price, it's worth a shot, as Monoprice has a good return policy if the product doesn't meet expectations.

I got this in a different color (natural). It was heavily discounted (around $70).

I didn't have to do too much work on it (basic tuning, etc). The sound is really warm (I like it).

You can check a YouTube video doing an unboxing for the same deal I got.

I got a black one a few months ago. Fret ends needed a lot of work but when they and the setup was done, it's my favorite guitar now, even with original strings.
30+ years guitar experience, have anything from a $3k Eastman down.

Toilet seat guitar! It's funny that my favorite guitarist is george benson and I have no aspirations to own a hollowbody.

Looks good in red though.

I've been playing for more than 40 years but I'm not super talented by any means - I just play for fun, and this guitar completely surprised me, especially its beauty. I completely agree - the pictures do not in any way do this guitar justice. It's much better looking than I thought it would be and sounds really good!

That was a different guitar that's more of an LP than 335. recent deals for this model have been between $140 (for this color) to $100 (for black)

I tried one but it'd make a crackling noise through the amp when you turned the knobs

Had one in a different color. Loved everything (after I did a standard setup) but it was way too heavy, heavier than my LP, so I no longer have it. Not sure if it was just my specific guitar that was heavy or if they are all like that.
