Aaaahhhh just found reason:

New process of producing OLEDs without rare earth minerals.

"The new process, in simplest terms, involves replacing those rare minerals with not-so-rare -- and therefore more affordable --- minerals. Diving into the science, the process involves grinding manganese bromide with benzyltriphenylphosphonium bromide. That solution is then dissolved into single MnBz crystals, which are used to create a light-emitting device (the LED part of OLED)."

So likely we see prices continue downward!

Did you already order and ask for a price match or placed an order on chat?
Talked to an agent and they price matched through chat

I've had the CX for years now, just got an S90C, really enjoyed the OS, and then went back recently to my CX and found it so lacking and inefficient.

I'll just say I've got the C3 42" for gaming since there's no S90C 42". With all those wins for Samsung on Rtings.com and my own side by side eye test I'm glad I got the 77" S90C in my living room instead of the C3. Hope everyone gets exactly what they like best Smilie
I also compared them side by side calibrated(both 77 not 42 vs 77).

I would say rtings 90 to 90 rating was more accurate on the difference.

For my eye test the C3 produced/processed a more accurate picture image.
A nice little plus here is DV support for less money!

I would say either display would make people happy, both are both great!

When the agent asked for a link they saw the price was back to normal. Did you provide a different method of proof of lower price?

You left off some other significant info 🤔
Like the numbers for that Low quality content smoothing(which includes ("streaming")
That was 8.6 to 6.8! Winner C3

There was also overall/mixed usage that was 90 to 90.

Let's not forget Dolby Vision support especially since it's becoming a mainstay with content.

This all for less than the S90!
There's something else no one is mentioning... RTNGS [youtu.be] did a Burn in long term test. Samsung oled panels and Sony oled panels have similar technology and had burn in. LG uses a different technology and had almost NO burn in!

The newer updates for that burn in test show it wasn't the panels that were the problem, it was the compensation cycles. Once the compensation cycles are the same (the new samsungs do this automatically like the Lgs), burn in is about the same for both. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F...6B8&t=167s

Ironic you bring that up because I personally know 3 that have had that issue already with Samsung and they were calibrated!

If there is a deal on something you want on Amazon, it is best to order and think later. You can always return the item if you don't like it but you are not guaranteed to see the same deal again once it sells out or they change the price by the time you decide you want to purchase it. Bottom line, buy now and think later.

I ordered and picked the delivery date as 3/30. I am going to cancel it. I still have my OLED C55 from 2016 that works great. There is no real need for another TV.

Not sure why...

Rtings.com for everyone's reference LG C3 vs Samsung S90C:

HDR Native Gradient 9.3 to 7.8 Winner Samsung

Viewing Angle 10 to 9.3 Winner Samsung

HDR Brightness 8.5 to 8.1 Winner Samsung

Color Volume 9.1 to 7.9 Winner Samsung

Gray Uniformity 9.0 to 8.5 Winner Samsung

Pre Calibration (Be honest, most ppl aren't getting their TV professionally calibrated) 9.1 to 8.9 Winner Samsung

Now what did the C3 even win at?

Low quality content smoothing and SDR Brightness

Side note: Paired my S90C with an apple tv 4k for $150 and now have the best of both worlds
Honestly it's their OS that's trash, things like Picture Off is in accessibility settings, no input button on the remote, Assistant was botched, Bixby wakes up for random reasons when I'm watching content, etc.
Don't get me wrong, I love the picture, but idk how practical it will be in long term with burn in, QD is not well tested / advanced yet, so I'm hoping I don't get a giant logo of a mini map from my hours of witcher 3 sessions (late to the party) because it compensates W pixel with RGB. Time will tell of course, and I have 2 years extra Sammy Care+ and 2 addl years through Citi.

If it lasts me 5 years without burn in, I'll be a happy camper.

To your point, I do have CCwGTV (4K Chromecast) plugged in and primarily use that to watch TV.

I just placed my order to be delivered at $2112 do you think they would price match if I contact them right now? Even though I can't see that price on the tv anymore?
