These are great, mine is still kicking, but make sure to buy the insurance for 3 dollar because I have yet to buy a heater for blanket that didn't die after a few years.
The last one I bought was on Amazon. It was through Asurion or whatever it's called. That process was a bit annoying because they wanted me to contact the manufacturer for their warranty. Then after a few attempts they figured out it's past the year warranty the manufacturer offers, then requested I send a 3 year old blanket to them.

This one is through Allstate and I've never used them before
Thanks. That's what I figured. It may be cheap at a few dollars buy, maybe the know they can make the process difficult enough people won't use it and they can keep the full fee.

4-hour auto-shut off function seems pretty short. 6-8 hours would sound better for sleeping, no?

Probably not. Walmart had fleece blankets marked down to 1.50 some stores the sign showed 3. The animal shelters really like these blankets and can always use them. I picked up 70 of them a month or so ago and split them between 2 local shelters.

You would think so, but 4 hr auto shut off is the most common length I've seen on blankets like these

Just want to warn you all, these break super easy even following laundry instructions. Not worth it at any price. Got only 3 washes out of the last one I purchased and wouldn't heat anymore

I picked up two of these last year at this time for a few dollars less and really enjoy them. The low setting is plenty warm for me, with the high setting way too hot for prolonged usage. We keep our house cool in the winter, around 60-62 degrees for reference.

I recommend the Sherpa lined blanket as you are less likely to feel the electric cables vs the regular blanket. Yes, a lot of the reviews are negative, yet I have had no issues and in spite of the cleaning recommendations, I will not put them in the washing machine as they have electrical wires and connectors. I have already purchased two more as of yesterday.

No, the blanket has a long internal heating wire and has a fairly good sized plastic/metal plug-in on one end that will easily get chewed off.

I recommend calling a local shelter and ask for a blanket suggestion. Many thanks for planning a donation to your local animal shelter.

Anyone can comment on how quick this throw blanket work? How long does it take to get it comfortably warm from pressing the on button?

Depends, do you have whole body cold or just feet?

I assume these are not washable? Never had a heated throw/blanket before.
