Sped Pass is where you pre-register your license plate(s) with six flags, so you can just drive through the automated booth and go park, and not have to wait in line to get your pass scanned by an attendant.
They had to give it for free, because no one was dumb enough to pay for it. What was really atrocious, was parks like Over Texas converting 6 lanes to SpendyPass, leaving only 2 lanes for everyone else to suffer through. At that point there needs to be coordinated civil disobedience, and everyone just drives through without stopping.

What? Is it real? Does it not save cost on attendant therefore it should be free. (I purchase seasons ticket every alternate year, therefore no idea what is happening this year).
Next is steps tracker. We will be charged based on steps taken in the park.

Every nearby tow truck driver will make a fortune lol
Pretty sure there isn't even free water anymore via water fountain at my local park. Everything costs something. For years, people would park in the parking lots of neighboring stores and just walk to six flags instead of parking at six flags and paying out the nose.
Prices are also seeming to go up, maybe at least in part to the merger with Cedar Fair. I don't think the merger is a good thing for most people but we will see, I guess.
When I went to six flags over texas last summer when it shoud've been packed because kids are out of school, but it wasn't crowded and the lines were still long. Realized they closed half the rides because they were understaffed. Also the food was now like $17+ for the cheapest entrée. Don't plan on coming back.
