I wonder if something else going on with your setup.

I've got several sets of deco, recommended them to several people who also bought them, and they've all been rock solid and super easy to setup and configure.
Solid deal - & these both included Homeshield, which includes antivirus, parental controls, Qos, etc. Many other router companies charge $30-$60/year for this.
I have Decos for 3 years and I don't think I would try something other than TP Link Deco unless TP-Link goes south with Decos.
I like Price, easy setup, QoS, Parental Control, intuitiveness of an app and speed of the internet.

Man I guess that ebay 3 pack of XE75 isn't coming back. At 200 that was an awesome deal.

Picked up the 3 Pack X55 for my father in Nov for $179. Well worth them at that price and even more so now at $169.

Pros:
  • Easy setup with the TPLINK app
  • Extra wired ports allowed more options to ethernet backhaul (always a plus)
  • Fast speeds (tested multiple times close to paid internet speeds)
  • Native OpenVPN config for inbound connections was a bonus
Cons:
  • Unable to pair some devices on 2.4ghz spectrum (2 cameras and 1 clock though I think this is more a lack on those devices part)
  • Determining which ethernet port needs to be used for the modem connection on the first module was unclear. (I also didn't bother reading any manual which a good design should negate needing to read anything in depth)

Guys I only heard of a mesh network yesterday. My wifi in my house has always sucked, and I'm not techy enough to know why. Someone explained to me that if I get something like this, it will cover my whole house.

How is the deal different than what I bought this morning? https://a.co/d/8j1pWSI

The one here has wifi 6, a newer and possibly faster/more reliable protocol.

You mean this will work but the one I bought may be slower?

You bought the correct mesh routing system but it is a older version which is WIFI 5/AC. The newest WIFI technology is WIFI 7. And WIFI 6 in this feed is the one I'm using now and I'm very satisfied with it.

What I notice the speed difference? I only have one computer, and my iPads. Not much else needs wifi .

But I'll spend the extra if you guys think the 5 is too slow

Is there any loss in performance if you mix similar models together?
