One thing that sucks about Lowes (and I like them) is they really limited what items work with discounts. My father-in-law went to pick up electrical supplies for a small project on our house, and none of it qualified for discounts.
Guessing this applies to most reading this thread.. AAFES now has a link to HD appliances where you can buy appliances with like 1% discount and tax free. So basically 10% off appliances, something Lowes stopped giving discounts on. Can also use military star card to buy them.
Because I'm giving Lowe's a thumbs up. I said Home Depot does a cap. It's a max of $400 at Home Depot. Lowe's does not have an annual cap which is very awesome of them.

I received email stating I was upgraded to Rewards Silver. It didn't give any explanation, and I was not a member of a rewards program. I chatted online, and they couldn't tell me what this was about. Wasted quite a lot of time while they checked around, with no success. I hope it gets applied automatically without a lot of rigmarole at checkout.
I was automatically given silver rewards. Don't know if there is even a requirement to get it. I think everyone has it. Also, don't care about this rewards program and don't plan on using it in store. you have to spend like $500 to get a $5 off coupon or something like that, can't remember the exact amount.
This is great, but has anyone else had problems using their rewards coupons? I got a $5 off, but I can't use it on anything. It seems to me that using my military discount counts as 'using in combination with another discount/offer', but I can't turn off my military discount. I tried using it in store and online for a lot of non-sale items, but it wouldn't add. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is it unusable?
I used the $5 coupon they gave me for the start of the program. I had to have over $50 in items and nothing on sale for it to work. Also cannot be combined with other coupon codes

Interesting, I spent well over 50 but maybe there was 1 random item on sale that locked out the coupon. Thanks for the info
outside of the normal discount the free shipping is the part I care about. Lowes carries some great brands that home depot doesnt, and I'd rather give them my money anyway. If I'm not in a rush the free shipping should be super helpful
