Think of this like basic car as Toyota Corolla. Need more "room and power"? Spend more for a Camry; not settling for a Corolla lol

Also great for cheap tablets for businesses- kiosks, etc...
Solid for media consumption too.

Remember he updated OS makes the old iPad very slow compared to original OS. Just because you can update OS, doesn't you should if everything working fine with the older OS.
$250 iPad 9 gets you about 3 years of updates
$450 iPad 10 gets you about 4 years of update
$550 iPad M1 gets you 5 to 8 years of updates
Making the iPad 9 and iPad M1 the current best value until the iPad 10 is $250-320.
But it seems 64GB is a boundary that some people found it's big enough and some don't think so. I bought an iPad Gen 4 in 2016 Thanksgiving for my mom, a 128GB one. Today she told me she found it's leaking battery power quick and charge slow. So I am looking for a new one for her. She said she wanted either same size 128GB or 256GB. I asked her to check the storage usage. She said it used 60GB. So it has 68GB left after 7 years and a half. I am like, you don't need 128GB. I understand iPad Gen 4 has a good quality, but she might need a newer one 5 years later since the battery may fail earlier before she need more storage. Plus she now take videos and photos with her phone. So she doesn't need a big storage any more. Therefore, we have this decision that for some people, 64GB is still good size.
Wait a second, what do we do with the videos that on her current iPad? I guess I will have to copy to my PC and not transfer to the new iPad.
Curious. How are you planning to copy the photos/videos to a PC?
