This is Asus's low-end branding. As such it's going to have only acceptable VRMs. If you plan on just popping a chip in and using it, it is fine. It's doesn't look like it has any of the advanced BIOS restoration and update features either. You get what you pay for, but this is a lot of board form your money.
You can tell what CPU will work with a motherboard by looking at the socket type. AMD CPU's require AM# sockets and Intels are LGA#. You have to check the CPU and the Motherboard to make sure they both list that same socket and they are not interchangeable. If your ever lost pcpartpickers website is pretty reliable for making sure your components are compatible.
Asus offers nice software packages like AI Suite. I bought a board (Hero VIII i think) That has been quite reliable however, AI Suite simply does not work. First Asus said it was a firmware update then they just said they arent supporting it. So sort of a bait and switch which has soured me on Asus products.
