A heads up: If you abuse buying discounted phones and activating then immediately canceling AT&T service too often, you will eventually be banned by AT&T from activating service anymore.

Believe it or not, that type of gaming is tracked and no one will be able to fix that for you.

Ex-AT&T employee.

PS: If you don't care, that's fine. But If you do, then you should be aware of this and pick your deals carefully.

The Ultra/256gb unlocked is $421, no need to go thru all the cancellation hassle , better deal imo.

they are dropping 50 every two weeks. I would wait, these phones are not selling like hotcakes. I considered s24 ultra during googlefi launch promo and rolled back because the price is too steep to what it has to offer. I expect the s23 to drop in price till they clear the inventory.
Also s24 have similar att offers through best buy for +$100 to $150

Whats the difference between the two other than the OS? Are the baseband modems different? Different radio frequencies?

If those are the same you could get the non-VZW lm unlock the bootloader and install the stock VZW firmware.

Someone correct me if wrong.
There is no difference between the two in terms of modem etc, only model numbers are different.

I picked up the phone in the store after I placed the order online. Do I get charged Activation fees - the other deal on the N300 said no activation fees if you pick up the phone in the store. I have now got the phone unlocked. so once the phone is unlocked before the 3 day period, I can cancel the account online, by talking to a ATT rep online ?

And another question, Is the E-sim also unlocked ?
If you cancel the line within 3 days, activation fee will be waived.

So how does it go? Just after you get it and activate it say you have remorse and cancel the line? No activation fees to worry about?

Edit: so I pulled the trigger on this for att adding a new line, what steps do I change from the wiki to get it unlocked and waive charges? Thanks!

Yeah, you cancel the line afterwards. ATT will send you a bill later on with the charges as I mentioned in the wiki but you can do chat with them to take it off.

The unlock and flashing instructions are same no matter which way you go

So I placed the order Thursday night , got confirmation to pickup from BB store on Friday. Picked it up Friday evening, unlocked Saturday morning. If I try to chat on Sun morning, and cancel acct , will it be still within 3 day period ?

Yes, it should be. The clock starts from the time BB activates the line with ATT which typically happens just before they send you a notification for pickup/tracking (in case you are shipping).

Anyone knows if flashing the XAA version messes with Knox? Does google pay still work? I would like to flash but I also use my phone for work and it will not install on a tampered phone.

Did this deal with the S22 ultra last BF....it dropped down to $349. Also flashed the U1 firmware successfully.

If I was flashing firmware I would do it before copying authenticators and such.
