Note: While this will now be the standard T-Mobile Connect plan at this price tier, due to overwhelmingly positive feedback and high interest from the community in the new upgrade from 3.5GB to 5GB of data monthly (previously announced as a jump to only 4GB), we have promoted this offer to the Frontpage for light data/mostly-WiFi users to consider.
T-Mobile offers their T-Mobile Connect Prepaid Wireless Service Plan w/ Unlimited Talk & Text + 5GB Data for $15/month (plus taxes & fees). Purchase of a SIM Card Starter Kit for $10 (one-time cost) may also be required.
Thanks to community member picframe for finding this deal.

Unlimited domestic talk & text
5GB of data per month (domestic)
100MB domestic roaming data

Notice my $15 plan up from 3.5GB to 5.0GB this March. ( it was supposed to be extra 500MB a year til 2025 ) Other than that, same old Global Wifi-calling, ESIM support, unlimited voice/msg.. nothing more......
If you dont feel like paying big chunk at once, this is not a bad deal. Plus, you can change plan on the fly ( such I go down to $10 before I travel oversea or switch to $25 plan for my summer outdoor activities - all via website without talking to CSR )

It's a hard cap. But you can easily top it up, if needed. For example, top up by $5 gives you an additional 2GB.
I have been on T-Mobile connect for the last 1 year and it has been great for me.

Did they transfer the balance from the old account to the new account?
Yep they did. I switched in like 2021 so I had to speak with someone to transfer it for me. A friend of mine switched last year from Legacy Pay As You Go and it is much easier although since you can just do it from the website, no need to talk to anyone. It is a one way change though, so if you want back on a legacy plan that they no longer offer like the $30 Walmart plan I'm not sure that you can get it back even if you talk to someone.
Sorry if this has been asked already....On this T-Mobile Ppepaid COnnect plan, can I pay with TM prepaid cards, which another user noted are often go on sale at Target and others places for 10% off??

I'm pretty sure you can. I used Target to get the cards for my $15 plan but now they are charging taxes in my area. Last year Target had one day 15% off prepaid cards at the end of November!

It is a good plan. Going to move from Mint, no one year commitment and you can buy refill cards for cheap. The downside is T mobile prepaid website being ugly as hell.
This is about as good as it gets. No de-prioritization, mirrors a standard T-mobile service. It would be nice if they had data carry over and a couple hundred minutes of international calling and texting from North America.
The $15 Connect plan includes tethering if you want to wipe out your data real fast.

Same, moving my 2nd line from mint to my main tmobile connect plan once the 1 year is up in a few months. Both will be $15 plan. Tmobile finally fixed their site to take credit card payments without the backend error with this recent update, good for amex business plat card $10 wireless monthly credit. I loaded up my main line from Target 15% off sale during BF so I'm good to go until next BF sale.

What, if any, is the difference between T-mobile connect prepaid, and t-mobile prepaid?
And why are they running both?
