That's always the case with the super high end stuff. Exponentially more expensive for incremental gain.
Friends don't let friends buy AlieNware
The 4090 is twice the price of a 4080 Super but isn't twice the performance, going by the benchmarks. And for a gaming rig, I would've expected one of the X3D chips.

I still cant believe the 4090 is a $1700 GFX card, overall if you can get this for under $2500 it would be a great buy like some of the above, close to the $3K point would be a pass and not a great deal in my opinion since you can part picker all these components for around $2300 ball park.
Just like Dell to pair the best video card available with the worst Ryzen 7 for gaming, and the cheapest and slowest RAM available.
Only thing that sort of saves this deal is the video card. I figure you'd pay nearly $1900 after taxes for even the cheapest 4090 on the market. You're paying $1000 for the rest of the system, that again, is using bottom of the barrel parts.
Chose multiple cards and 2000 wit chase freedom for 5% CB, 700 with Amex for 120CB and 10% off coupon with new account will result in 2570$ after tax. Don't forget add the CB promo to the cards before buying… hard to beat this price with a new build when the GPU is 1900$ and CPU is 480$… This is what I did.

I parts pickered a very similar setup with some better items like better ram for under $2500.

4090 is expensive to be competitive with other 24 gig cards nvdia sells.

Dollars to donuts there is no real world performance difference in vast majority of modern games.
You're wrong. The 7900X performs at the level of a 7600 in gaming.
