About this Series:
At the end of the 24th century, and 14 years after his retirement from Starfleet, Jean-Luc Picard is living a quiet life on his vineyard, when he is sought out by a mysterious young woman in need of his help. This chance encounter sends him on a bold and exciting new journey to track down a series of mysteries about his past. Culminating in the most the most daring mission of his life, Picard is forced to recruit allies spanning generations old and new with the fate of the Federation at stake.
Sorry to be Debbie Downer, but IMHO this whole series was an awful potpourri of random callbacks from TNG composted into a nonsensical mess in hopes of tickling fan nostalgia. Lower Decks and Strange New Worlds do this properly, while also finding their own identities; Picard's meandering idiocy will simply tarnish any fond memories of Trek you might have.
If it's in any way cheaper to just purchase the 3rd season by itself that's the way I'd personally go. That said if you get all 3 don't give up after season 1 or 2 because season 3 is some of the best star trek ever made
I actually don't get the hate. I've enjoyed all of Picard and can't stand Strange New Worlds. I actually enjoyed Picard better than Discovery but maybe that's not a surprise to anyone. I love the actors coming back to their roles and having some fun with it again. Everyone loves to crap on everything new but I enjoy that they're doing something rather than living in fear of stepping on someone's precious nostalgia. There are some low points, but it's good fun.

lol, we all know what opinions are like.
I personally loved this series, despite its flaws. JLP is my favorite captain and, if you feel the same way, you will probably enjoy this.
when I was around 10 years old, my mom was working a few day shifts in LA and we were just hanging out at the historic train station. A young actress was reciting her lines by herself and a crew was shooting a Kellogg's commercial there. 30 years later she's playing the spy/espionage/security friend of Picard's in this series! She had a distinctive look so I was pretty sure it was her, looked it up online and yeah, she used to appear in cereal commercials. Glad she was able to endure in the industry

Season 1 is good. Season 3 is also good.

Bc Star Trek
To give it a fair chance, of course. Many TV series have a rough start until they find their footing. It took TNG the whole first season.
Great point!
