In for one. I was waiting for this to go in sale so I can finally run a French drain under the driveway and sidewalks.

I was looking at these a while back and the reviews weren't all that great. Apparently you're lucky to get 2' of cuts on a full battery.

The 14" MX version was on sale for much of last year at $1800 ($1k off) with a free cart ($1k value) and hackable, making the 14" $1k total if you return the cart. Was tempted for a bit but the reviews held me back on that as well.

In the end, I decided that I'll likely go with a gas model since they seem to do much better and are comparable price-wise.

True, it eats the battery pretty quick but it gets the job done. I was rotating 8ah batteries every 10 minutes when I used it.

Its true, 5-10 minutes on batteries and its not always because they go dead. Could be because they over heat. For most people a harbor freight saw would work fine. If its your job, spend whatever ot takes because you'll make it all back in 1 or 2 jobs
