I'm sure YMMV based on location but I searched for months to try to get rid of them and there were no other options.

Tip: Put the empty 1lb tank in the freezer for a couple of hours to reduce the pressure in it so when you connect the tanks, more liquid propane will transfer.
I have 10 coleman tank I've been refilling for years.
Hope this helps.
Takes like 15 seconds to get a full 1lb cylinder. Don't have to mess with putting the 1lb tank in the freezer and all those tricks to try and get a full disposable cylinder. Literally a 15 second refill process with the Flame King. That alone is worth it, aside from the fact that they are designed to be refilled, are heavy duty, all steel and brass construction, and DOT approved to transport in a vehicle. Also, if you get the Flame King Refillable, don't get the Flame King Adapter because it has a pin in it that only allows you to use it on a Flame King Refillable. Get a generic adapter hose, because it will work on both the Flame King and regular disposables. Also, get one with a hose that allows you to have the 1lb cylinder vertically (not horizontally). Otherwise you won't be able to get a full fill on anything (refillable or disposable).
