no I'm genuinely trying to find best oil for my car for price it says 7500 mile oil changes in manual
I found out oem oil filter cost more than the amsoil oil filter, or the same price. So prob use amsoil unless engine blows then I toss oem back on for service (keep a used one) and swap them to return it back to stock
what is your vehicle/yr and do you do severe duty meaning a lot of stop/go or live in an environment 85+ degrees a fair part of the year or in the snow belt?
Also I am a BIG fan of OEM filters they are designed specifically for the OCI and the vehicle. There are only like 3-4 manufacture of filters and many times you can find the "generic" which is the same oil filter for cheaper. The amount people overpay in automotive is unbelievable.
While there is a lower chance of issue from cart filters, spin on filters can be a real problem as their designs are often generic and not specific to the engine AND you can't see what is in them unless you can find some guy cutting them open or doing a review.
For instance one of my vehicles (Lexus) can use the Toyota filters which are $5 at the Toyo store. I also have Hyundai and I can get those from Rockauto which are generic or Mann which is the ODM and they are made in S. Korea for 1/2 to 1/3 the cost $6-$8.
BTW Ams Oil isn't making their filters they job them out to ODM.

Havnt got the car yet, I just ordered it a few days ago.
I been using amsoil for like ever, just bought 6 quarts Costco afe for my daily and I think it's running well.
Then I ordered 15 quarts of ep Mobil 1 for 70 bucks, then I bought car.
Then Kirkland went on sale, that's why I asked the question. Value wise is great Kirkland, but my daily does 10k oil, which afe and ep last that, Kirkland doesn't state any miles on bottle is why I'm going to have to avoid I think. The writing makes me feel more reassured
The gr86 is becoming my summer daily/ toy. Prob change out at 1k for break in and let dealer change it at the 7500 mile mark and 15k and 21k as they include 3 oil changes @ 7500 up to 2 years

Then mobile 1 will be better unless you add oil additives with Kirkland oil.
