A lot of the old standard knife brands basically suck today. I wouldn't give a nickel for a Schrade or Case. Ka-Bar has some decent stuff, Buck too. But bang for buck, they do not rival the top chinese brands.

Wish I didn't have to pay anything, but it's better than nothing.
Thanks for the response.
I was ready to throw it out, so this at least a better alternative for me.
It seems with inflation all companies are being cheap/cutting cost too.

Even the CRKT Hissatsu has a double-lock, and it's not very expensive
The CV/BT chinese brands I carry when I might have to use them as screwdrivers, dig in the dirt, or lose it. I have zero emotional connection to them and they "do the job" but they do not compare to the cru-wear. But, they are 1/4th the price.
I will add that even the BEST knife I had 30 years ago is nowhere near as good as the worst knife I have today.

I like the Hissatsu for what it is, BTW - but I wouldn't be surprised if the double lock was because they've had some similar lock designs fail and injure people (and they have).
The voltaic was awesome I somehow lost it and just saw it was half off thank you!

Serious question, was the normal use just cutting or some other tasks? Thanks
Dang, best of luck with the new blade. Thanks
If someone on Ali or eBay is breaking the rules, well... that's eBay or Ali. I wouldn't reference them as the standard for doing things 100% the right way. Some random dude, or even company, selling on eBay probably doesn't know or care if he is breaking the law.
And it's probably only a matter of time before Ali or eBay also adds geographic restrictions.

Who do you think has better knowledge of the laws about knives - companies who specialize in knives or Amazon which sells millions of products?
