Curious because I have an old one where the battery has expanded too much to fit in the housing.
I don't have it with me but I think it's a 2 or 3 pin connector. My hunch is that just getting the right battery will cost more than a new one on sale; ugh, so I have to decide on the paying extra to avoid the e-waste aspect. Any advice would be great, thanks!

It was an either or thing.
More importantly I read all the replies about how this is garbage.
But it was my mistake to not notice it was two 20% discounts and one had to be entered manually, normally its either or, not both.

Either way it's not a gimmick, it can get you out of a bind quickly or help you get someone else out of a bind. Both are great to have in all vehicles, whether you have a brand new car or not.
Your loved ones deserve quick options in case of emergency. You should also have a tire inflator in each car.
