Even for Civivi, 14c and G10 for $100 is not in the ballpark. Love their stuff all around, but even for $50 it's just meh. For $30 or $40 it's in the ballpark of a good deal. I've owned dozens of civivi's. This is the way
How thick of a blade do you want for a folding knife? Pivot and lock would typically fail first unless under improper use. This model specifically has a blade that's >25% of total thickness, which is a great ratio.
Also, button locks are not ambidextrous. You're thinking of the Axis lock now that Benchmade's patent expired. Neither are relevant to Civivi specifically as a brand.
I'm no hardcore Civivi fanboy and have my complaints with them elsewhere but I'm pleased with what I've purchased for the price. Maybe you had a poor experience with a cheap liner lock.
Took a chance on the damascus, been wanting to try both a civivi and a damascus steel.

Oh that's easy: both
I was just watching a review for the Voltaic. Different lock, slimmer but only slightly less weight. The Praxis has that taller blade. Feels great in my hand, which is maybe a little bigger than average. Honestly, for the money they're both aok.
Hard to say- if you have a larger hand the Praxis would be better most likely because the handle is wider. It feels great to my slightly larger than average hands. The lock on the Voltaic is probably gonna be easier to engage but the Praxis does have great access to the liner lock and that's what makes is such a fun fidgeter for me.

unlock a button lock with your right hand. then do it with your left hand. tell me it's not exactly the same motion. I said button locks are FUNCTIONALLY ambi in my original comment
This is such an ignorant mindset, lol. Spyderco's Taiwan factory makes their best knives, head and shoulders above their US one, in my experience.
100% agree with you. I've been into knives for decades. Spyderco's Taichung Taiwan knives are considered to be their best by pretty much everyone. All the complex models are made in Taiwan. Their high end $400+ knives are made in Taiwan.
Deal still going as far as I can tell, just ordered the CIVIVI Cachet Folding Pocket Knife, 3.48 inch Damascus Blade Stainless Steel With Canvas Micarta Inlay Handle Reversible Pocket Clip for $56 after the coupon.
