Select Micro Center Stores have 65" LG OLED65C3AUA[microcenter.com] C3 4K Smart OLED evo TV (Refurbished) on sale for $999.99. Free in-store pickup only where stock permits.
I bought a 65C2 refurb from Microcenter last year about this time.
A few weeks into ownership, the main board died.
LG support was next to useless as there are no repair techs in my area, so in the end, LG ended up refunding me the cost of the TV.
I did some research online, watched a couple YouTube videos, and ended up swapping a new main board in by myself. Took about 20 minutes and a screwdriver, but was an easy process.
Still works perfectly now. So in the end, I paid about $100 for a 65C2.
If I had the chance to do it again, knowing how easy these TV's are to do, I'd 100% do it again.
The 90 day warranty kills it for me
The warranty issue is a big deal.

Got a c2 77 inch refurbished from microceter last year and it has a full year warranty once u register on the LG website. The TV had 1 dead pixel and 237 hours. Have been using it for more than a year now, it's perfect.
Sony Box Dimensions: 53.25 x 33.25 x 7.25"
LG Box Dimensions: 55.9" x 32.9" x 7.4"
Yes, 55 is easy for for compact sedans. You *might* be able to fit 65 as well but it would be within inches so it's going to be a gamble, both of my old Mazda3 and Volvo S60 can do. You can always measure your trunk opening and compare to the box dimensions which you can find online. The length isn't a problem
Is it wishful thinking that there will be another round of sales on the C3 as distributors make room for C4? Had one in my cart during the Amazon sale, hesitated, and it was gone.
I see a lot of people talking about extended warranties and protection plans. Are there that many problems with this set? I think it's crazy to expect issues in the first 3 years of owning a TV set. Unless you have a child controlling it often or you leave it on constantly, I don't see the point in these warranties

My story on buying an LG OLED refurb from MicroCenter (3 years ago).
In about April 2021, I bought a refurb CX 65 for $1,299. I paid for the 3-year w/ accident coverage warranty for $250 (I have children, and I was worried they'd throw something at it... or that I would break it during wall mounting).. I think the refurb was fine, very low hours used, no damage/etc. I used it for more than 2.5 years, and noticed it started getting speckles of dead pixels on the edges of the screen. I was worried this would get worse, so I asked for the warranty to be honored. It was difficult, and took my almost 12 days of back and forth whether they would cover the dead pixels (there were many, e.g. >100). This stemmed from LG's warranty wording being vague, but I confirmed in LG support chat that it would be covered (and MicroCenter's extra warranties only claim to cover what the manufacturer would cover.)
So I drove the TV back to MicroCenter, they processed the return quickly, and handed me a $1,299 gift card. I simply grabbed a C3 65 refurb for $1,099 , + the same warranty which was $219. After tax, I owed about $85.
The C3 has been similar: low hours used, no damage.
I see the price is now $999, so I'm likely to return to claim price protection as it hasn't been 30 days yet.

no. I went and bought one, brought it home and it was covered in white splotches that appeared to be under the screen. Was not happy about lugging a big TV back to the store
Got a refurb 77 a80cl. Just passed the 30 day return window but i ended up buying the 4 year warranty. Still came out to over $1000 after tax less than buying it from costco. Its been awesome so far

I have a 3 year old CX 55" and my brother has 3 year old 65" CX from Microcenter refurbs (I got mine for $699 back in the day. It came with 68hrs on the tv but was repaired and has worked great for 3 years. No issues on my end. But you never know. I waived the extra MC warranty and was happy with what I got. I still love my CX. Best of luck with whatever you decide.

2 for 2, great experiences so far. Was able to register one TV (77" cx) for a full year warranty on LG's website, the other (48" c1) was unable to get a full warranty because LG knew it was a refurb. Both TVs have been flawless, but I suppose that part is just luck.

They have a dolly shipping for $120 flat
I got the Sony A80CL for the same price, 47hrs panel usage time, practically brand new.
You can buy the protection plan which is like $180 if you don't feel comfortable.
Probably, this is a 2022 and a Sony 55": https://youtu.be/jpRh_lMK37o
