edit, the Q910C apparently is worst. According to reddit thread:
"So I purchased the HW-910c, thinking it was the same soundbar and woofer as the HW-900c, just with the (weaker) rear speakers. After this thread, and more research found out that the HW-910c and HW-930c use a smaller, inferior soundbar/sub-combination to that of the HW-900c and HW-990c, which use the same combination. This naming convention is very disingenuous and they really should have named them differently. Perhaps HW-850, and HW-890. Alright, rant over as I'm returning the 910c and getting the 900c with 9500s speakers. Thank you, all of you really cleared this up for me."

1. I purchased Q900C + 9500S. I felt that I should go directly with Q990C for about $100 - 200 more, when Q990C is at $700 (probably $580 after coupon and cashback; $640 after tax).
2. I did purchase Q900C twice: one at $515, one at $462. They refused to price match due to policy of 15 days after delivery. And they just suggested to return my old one and order a new one.
3. Signup coupon($25) + referral($55) + cashback($33, 8%) made the final price about $380 ($420 after tax)
4. I was able to get 9500S for $80 (openbox, excellent condition)
I feel like this will be my soundbar set for a while. I will go to KEF LS50II wireless if I need an upgrade for music. Soundbar is more for movie, not music.

Yes but there was special pop up that stated the promo for email subscription. I was unable to get it after multiple attempts but you may have better luck. I also tried signing up to their email without the prompt and did not receive the promo
FWIW I could never get this pop up
Don't be fooled by 7.1.2 or the images of sound enveloping the whole area around the listening room, or stories of sound coming from everywhere. It doesn't happen.
Example:
Denon AVR-S760H - $225
Jamo S 803 - $80
Jamo S 810 Sub - $90
Good speaker stands and some wire/cables - $70
Or get any $20 receiver from the thrift store and get the Klipsch RP-600M, but you'll lose the new connectivity (most likely). Get it back by using a WIIM streamer for $60 ish, which you can actually take somewhere else in the house if you need to, like outside with another device like a party speaker so you can stream without having to use Bluetooth (a game changer, if you haven't ever used it).
I am a life-long (over 50 years) audio/video and photography enthusiast. I have abandoned traditional wired multi-speaker system the same way I abandoned my SLR/DSLR/lens equipment in favor of a iPhone.

A good example for me is my move to wireless earbuds (Samsung buds). I was strictly a wired headphone user (dual BA), but the convenience of wireless is just more practical in daily life, so that's what I use most of the time, and while doing chores at home. When I'm on the computer, I switch on the amp and put on the big cans, though.
Sound bars are convenient. For me, when I'm at home and watching a movie, I value great sound stage and experience, so I will go with speakers. The difference here is that there is no comparison where I have to lug my separate components around and have to choose, as in your dslr vs phone example haha.
Anyways I contacted chat support today and they said they would refund me the difference in price.
Edit - got an email follow-up from Samsung customer service saying they WILL NOT refund me the difference. Pretty sh**ty of them to offer it to me and then rescind the offer.

How do you get the referral working with EPP? I keep getting Referral code not valid

- active voice amplifer pro
- 4k120 passthrough (if you have ports on your tv and need additional ports this might be helfpul)
- Roon Certified (this is targeted for audiophiles and music listening not really for general use)
- Private Rear Sound (I think this adjusts the sound so it doesn't get too loud in your house for bother your neighbors)
If these features aren't that important to you then 900c is still an ideal choice.
