If you are looking for high quality food-grade silicone, then check out Bake Boss muffin pans on Amazon. I got them few months back and couldn't have been more happier than the purchase.

I paid full price for a few of these a few years ago and they seem of good quality. Being a guy I can't tell the difference but use them a few times a year and like them.

Didn't even know those existed! Recommendation on brands please
I have no idea what brand mine is, I just searched "silicone muffin pan" and bought whatever came up for like $5. I originally bought it for making mini quiche's and eggs, but now I do mini meatloaf and cupcakes etc. in it. Changed my world.

Not a fan of my silicone muffin pans -- the whole "pan" was silicone, so no stability at all, and had an odd smell. I take it your experience has been different?
you can set them in a muffin pan if you want, I just set mine on a cookie sheet. You must wash it first, just like a silicone baking mat or grilling mat.

I do a lot of baking and honestly can't stand silicone products. They have a strange smell to begin with and absorb smells and tastes over time. You can immediately taste the fact that it was cooked in silicone.

A prepared metal pan will give better results every time, and baked goods will come out just as easily.
Food grade silicone has no flavor or odor. It's used all the time in industrial food processing and you probably didn't even know it.

It has to be sealed properly and at high temperatures the seal breaks down and chips and the mineral leaches into the food.

I'm surprised people still use metal muffin pans. If you haven't tried the silicone muffin baking containers, you don't know what you are missing.

They don't brown, I'll stick with cast iron
