Too much hassle and it's not guaranteed to not get charged
24 months of bill credits is NOT free

Got it and unlocked and everything the last time this deal was posted at $50 more. Just chatted with BB CS and cited price guarantee policy. Got $50 refunded.
The chat rep denied my price adjustment, said I have to take it back to the store and return it. Should I try calling? Sorry for the duplicate post.

The answer is always yes - it's like the mommy/daddy joke - you could even chat again and get a completely different response that will accommodate your needs. I don't argue with customer service - I just say thank you, end the call, and dial again or chat again or whatever. 9 times out of 10 I get the price adjustment or whatever and don't have to argue with anyone. If you can get them to laugh, they'll pretty much do anything because you'll probably be the nicest encounter they have all day long.

What are you talking about, at&t has the best coverage in rural America. Much better than T-Mobile, I think you might be mistaken but one of the main reasons to use att is coverage outside of big cities.
Yeah, up until about a few years back, the selling point of Verizon and AT&T was their comprehensive coverage. I'm told Verizon has all sorts of deals with the federal government for their employees for this reason. It's T-Mobile that had nearly nonexistent coverage in rural areas and spotty coverage even in suburban areas. Obviously that's improved a ton, hence why I'm checking out US Mobile using their T-Mobile towers. Probably going to jump on their trial and see how it goes for a month.

THanks. I just got off the phone and they price matched it but I didn't get an email confirmation. We'll see what happens.

Damn this delay. Originally was supposed to arrive today, but got pushed to tomorrow thanks to shipper picking a local UPS location for the destination. Hopefully it'll be delivered by 6pm so I have time to reach out to wireless customer service which closes at 7pm PST/9pm CST. This 3-day window to avoid activation charges is bullcrap when it includes time taken to ship.

If you have not done these ATT deals recently, you can get rid of the activation fee when the bill comes instantly by clicking on that "Don't recognize this fee" link as I mentioned in the post even if you cancelled after 3 days. At any rate, it's better to do this within the 3 day period if that does not work or you need to argue with them.

Yeah that's weird, I also didn't get the confirmation email like they said I would. Gonna hunt this down.
[EDIT] refund came through, just checked. No email, though. Whatever.

If say the phone arrives tomorrow at 5pm and I'm able to get it all activated within the hour, will the bill arrive almost instantly to my AT&T account? First time attempting this.

If you ordered after 5pm, most likely the plan will have activated the next day, so you could still be fine.

Started the tello # and esim port process yesterday afternoon, no bill showing up yet on my AT&T account. I'm going to guess the activation fee should kick in and show up not long after I start the process to activate the phone?

No, the bill arrives at a later point. Each ATT account has a random date when the bill is generated so no telling when the bill is going to arrive. But once you received the phone and unlock it you should chat with them to cancel the account right way. Make sure it's cancelled right then not "scheduled to be canceled at the end of the billing cycle"

This is true. I've got TMobile and the moment I get outside the city, the signal is pretty much gone. 1 bar the most, specially when in the country

I received the email to set my PIN after AT&T called and asked for the last four digits of my SSN. I also received the account registration email and completed the sign-up process. They haven't shipped the phone yet, but in the AT&T account, it says 'Unlock Eligible.' So, I clicked it, and it says, 'We can't unlock this device.' Is this normal?

It says that if you have paid your device in full but ATT won't allow you to unlock it for 60 days. SIM swap is the only way to unlock it earlier or chatting with a Rep who might give you the unlock code.

Alright, It's already showing the s23 activated in my ATT account so I will make a call or 2 when it gets here then move the ATT sim into my unlocked Pixel 3 let the PIxel show up in my ATT account in place of the s23 then request the unlock code from a different email/name and they should send the unlock code?
