$109 bill came up. Did the whole "don't recognize this fee" for the $35 portion, waiting for it to hit. Time to hit up chat reps for the next part.

EDIT: That was odd. Looks like the request to remove the $35 fee was denied. Wonder if they're starting to go back on their 3-day policy.
Their policy of 3 days cancellation to waive actibation fee is still valid in the link posted on the original post. Also 14 day cancellation window should be fine.

Ok.. so if I take the moral high ground / lazy route on this one, you're obligated to use AT&T for 60 days ( 2 months of services ) & once that's up, you're able to cancel without any issue. That still seems like a deal, yeah?

"Was paid in full when you bought it (it was not purchased on an installment plan). You must wait 60 days from your purchase date to submit an unlock request." - AT&T Source [att.com]
Their policy says wait not active service so technically you should be able to request unlock even if you cancel the service. However, I haven't heard anyone confirming it.

Yep, chat CSR's giving me a rough time. They're really pushing back on waiving any of the charges.

EDIT: Down to $40.67 total remaining for now.

Weird thing happened. So the first rep the day I cancelled said naw, best I can do is $30 credit. Then the next one posted even more credit on top of it with a note that it was supposed to be for the activation credit/service establishment fee.

It's down to $40.09 which is WAY better than $109.18 I guess, but I think I may take my shot one last time and just cover what's left. Already came out ahead by tossing in my gift card from a year back plus Bestbuy credits that have been just sitting there forever due to no interest in recent games for a grand total of $0 out of pocket.

Guess I'll just treat it like Tinder. Shoot my shot and see what happens.

I received a $98 bill and cancelled on the 4th or 5th day after ordering the S23. Phone support kept hanging up on me, so I went to chat on the website since I have had a better customer support experience with chat. They gave me the unlock code earlier that day thru chat which I think is rare. I asked for a supervisor's help and he applied so many credits that my account is now showing AT&T owes me $5 in credits. https://imgur.com/a/tnfuzgl

It starts from when BB activates the line for you. From what I have seen, it's right before shipping. The phone normally is not activated on that line. You will have to insert the SIM and activate it when the phones arrives. Note the 3 day counter starts from the time the line is activated.

The BestBuy Cancellation email reads "Your mobile device was successfully activated, and you may be charged for service. Call your carrier's customer service to cancel." Do I really need to call ATT to cancel? Trying to connect with ATT but it has crazy long wait time.

If you are going for this, buy the S22 plus as battery life for S22 is horrendous

Me too. Why allow orders if they just cancel?

The S23+ dropped to $299.99 on BestBuy.com, I just chatted with support and received a $50 (plus tax) price match!
