The real deal is $14.99 for 2 ($7.50 each) with code TAKE5.

These pair with the Govee water sensor Wifi hubs, so you don't need to use Bluetooth!

These are the Govee.com coupons mentioned the most by Slickdeals users:

SPLASH-CAD 12% off (confirmed on various sensors, light strips, etc)
BOOM 10% off (confirmed on most products)
TAKE5 $5 off per unit (better than the welcome offer, confirmed on various products)

So we don't rehash lessons from previous Govee deal threads:

- Govee is a Chinese brand, but they tend to have exceptional quality, outstanding customer service/warranty, and many fans on SD, which is why they consistently hit the Front Page.
- Their Bluetooth only devices often pair with Govee WiFi hubs for their other products, allowing remote access to your devices out of the house and on the app. For example, their BT hygrometers connect to the v2 water sensor WiFi hub.
- There are no international transaction fees even though Chase says it's international.
- The warranty experience is much better when you buy direct, as opposed through Amazon. Your order is directly tied to the app, meaning you can initiate a recall of a defective unit with free shipping directly through the Govee app with one click; no phone calls or hassle.

Your comment cannot be blank.

Amazon has it for $8.39. FYI.
I bought a 3-pack of these and I have 2 negative concerns about them.

they are just a single-point calibration, not dual or even multi-point. So they are not that accurate at the full range of temperatures and humidity levels(especially humidity).
They refresh readings needlessly fast. Like every 10-15seconds. Do you really need to record temperature changes in your living room that quickly and often? I'd rather it refresh less often but has longer battery life.
Thermostat may be on 70 but depending on the location of the thermostat, the insulation of the house, the devices outputting heat in the house (oven, computers, etc), obviously the temperature can vary greatly room to room.

For me I rent an older townhouse and the (dumb) thermostat is centrally located on the first floor. My upstairs home office and bedroom can get hot/humid during the Summer and cold/dry during the Winter, so it's important for me to know the true temperature of my home office and bedroom versus what the downstairs thermostat states.

Also, portable dehumidifiers/humidifiers exist. So you can do something about it. LMAO

What's the purpose in having this?
Your thermostat in your house will control temperature..... so what good is it to look at this devices and say "yup, thermostat is on 70 and this device shows 70 too"?? And if the humidity shows 60% - what are you gonna do about it? Nothing.

My thermostat only controls the heat, which I don't generally use in the summer. I'm sure my situation is very unique though.

This device controls nothing though. It's just a sensor.

My Water Sensor WiFi Hub H5040_0773 only offer to pair with H5053, H5054, H5023 & H5024.
Is there a specific model that can pair with the H5104?
Or is there a procedure to accomplish this?

Maybe it isn't technically "controlling" them but It pairs with other Govee/GoveeLife devices and those devices can control themselves based on the sensor's humidity and temperature.

Nice. We have 2 of their heaters (which work great!), a bunch of their RGB light bulbs, and smart plugs. Gonna get 3 of these and the wifi water hub w/ 4 sensors, which would have saved me a few months ago when our washing machine's cold water line busted.

I don't have thermostat in my apartment. My building has central heating and they control the apartment heat. A few times in the winter it got below the lowest allowed legal temp. Having these readings as proof I sent an official complaint to the city that forced the landlord to increase the heat to the apartment.

People use these in their greenhouses to make sure things are growing in optimal temp and humidity.

And I've seen others put these in their cigar humidors to monitor optimal storage conditions.

Others keep them in their 3D printer filament storage containers/areas.

The H5040 is the old V1 hub. I was talking about the V2 water sensor hub here:

Good place to store batteries.
Mine don't work very well with rechargeable batteries either.
