WARNING- Tv stopped working after 2 months of light use. Customer service is awful. Avoid Hisense by all means.
Been using Hisense for 4 years now no issues.
Have bought 2 Hisense tv's and would say that the issue for me was the google OS. I threw a roku stick on them and they were fine for what they were. If you are looking for a workhorse tv or elite picture, this is clearly not for you. If you are looking for price per inch then it is solid - not spectacular.

I think we all need to remember sometimes that while we all love the deal (we wouldn't be here if not) - there is always some "you get what you pay for" - especially when buying a large format TV from a budget company on sale.

I hate the Google smart interface... incredibly slow and frustrating. I will only buy a TV that has Roku from now on.
Really the best thing to do is to not use the "smart" functionality on the TV at all. Instead, hook up a roku, pc, apple, fire stick, whatever to it and use it that way. The ads on the "smart" portion of the TV are ridiculous and only getting worse, with no option to get rid of them. The apps themselves are going to be very limited and buggy, and eventually you won't even be able to use or update them anymore.

True, we did that for a while until I found a cheap Roku TV (TCL) to replace the google one (also TCL). Sold the google one on marketplace in 2 hours. Cost me $60 or $70 to make the switch but it was well worth it.

There are issues with ANY brand's cheapest version of anything, from TVs to shoes to tools to whatever. I suggest you pony up a few more dollars and get a good MODEL that's built to last, regardless of brand.

Well the Samsung was $2100, the LG was $1100 so they werent exactly "cheap tvs". The TCL purchase was a cheap tv because spending more money on a TV didnt seem to buy you any longevity so with the last TV I decided to give TCL a shot because I figured it couldnt be any worse than the LG . But I learned my lesson and will not go down that road again. I understand there are the LEMONs at every price point also.... it is just frustrating because I always seem to get them. I just make sure to buy the extended warranty now (I never thought I would ever buy one of those). On another note, I still have 2 PLASMAs (Panasonic and Hitachi circa 2008) that just wont die...I long for days of longevity like that!

Counterpoint, I got two 50" ones with 4k for about $200 each and use one as a horizontal table (and put stuff on it with a thin plexiglass over the screen) and the other as a ridiculous telepresence and gaming device and both are still going strong three years later. YMMV.

Who remembers the 2020 Black Friday Hisense 65" special? $249, man those things were absolute hot garbage. The post was full of people who had it fail just after the 1 year warranty expired. Just a bunch of e-waste.

Agreed the google is soooo slow and I have the u8k 65" . Overall aside from that quality is amazing and sound is very very good. Just buy a Fire4k or Roku stick and your good

Anybody have good starter settings for the 75" set? Also is a VA panel or IPS panel? I think I saw somewhere the 65" is VA while the larger panel is IPS?

I will never own another Hisense tv. Don't care how cheap they are, they aren't cheap to get rid of once they inevitably become ewaste
