Just got back from my local Costco and purchased one. It appears it was marked down today. Picture posted to the Community Wiki.
The Puyallup, WA store had about 15 units left after I purchased mine.

I will never purchase another Orbi product and I can't recommend them for any price. I have a support ticket open with them that's been going for months with no resolution. The mesh system we have has constant drops and has to be reset every couple of days because all devices stop getting a signal.
I had the same system and the constant disconnects and satellites randomly restarting were it fun. I went with another brand and couldn't be happier.
I've owned Orbi products, and had problems with them from day one. To make matters worse, they only had 90 day support....though that may have changed. And, while this is purely subjective, I think they're the ugliest home electronic devices on the market.

I now have TP-Link Deco mesh products...been fantastic since install which was a breeze. Not one hard or soft reset in over two years.

I have had an older ORBI RBK30/AC2200 mesh with 4 satellites for many years to cover my house from top floor to basement. It's worked well for the most part except for some delays from time to time when my phone go from one satellite to another. Sometimes I have to restart its wifi and reconnect.
I also have a 3 node Deco P9 I used in a smaller vacation house then brought back. Found a great deal for 2 extra nodes so I thought I'd set it up and how it measured up. To my surprise I only needed 4 nodes to get the same coverage and it has been very reliable. P9 has the option to use powerline for backhaul but I only enabled that one a single node that is placed the furthest from the base unit.
For the prices ORBI going for these days, I really can't justify a replacement, especially when most of the new features are not going to make much of a difference for me, or most home users.

Top comments to not buy most likely have other network issues. IMO, this is a buy now and return later situation.

I've had two different Orbi systems and they have both worked flawlessly. Currently using 860 series for a couple years and no issues. Weird how Orbi work great for some people and others report problems. Not sure what the reason could be. But this is not uncommon for routers across the board. If you read the reviews of almost every consumer router there are a lot of bad experiences mixed in with good ones.
I got the Orbi RBK50 (WIFI-5 one) and I was experiencing network drop from time to time in the beginning. Started off with having to reboot once a month to once a quarter to now, never (I have a battery backup for it so it doesn't even turn off when my house have a power outage). I think the firmware fixed many of the issues over time and currently, I have 6 satellites hooked up to it. I just like ethernet backhaul available and 4 ethernet ports in each satellite, not to mention they are "hackable" turning a router into a satellite.

Seriously, please consider Unifi system from Ubiquiti Networks and you will not be disappointed. Yes, it's a bit more expensive but stable and has a lot more features. Their new Gateway Ultra makes the system easy to setup.

Different market imo

No, this is a Tri-band Router.

As per the user manual:

"Orbi Whole Home Tri-Band Mesh WiFi 6 System"

I believe it is technically tri-band, but one of the bands may be strict backhaul

Just make sure this isn't the 40 device limit one. I know that was a thing for a while with NETGEAR Orbi. I've owned two generations or Orbi. I buy them, I install them for friends and family. Never had an issue except SOME maybe not this one, has a device connection limit of like 40 devices. I have never had a problem over 40 with my RBR760

I've seen comments recommending Unifi a lot, if you are willing, can you share what components I'd need to get everything working for a 3br 2 story SFH? We are also adding an add on unit in the backyard as an office, so we will need coverage there. I'm fairly tech savvy but not especially well versed in commercial networking. For example I get gateways and routers and APs confused all the time, since in all residential network setups you just need one unit that does all of the functions.

That's the exact unit I have, with 2 satellites. For the most part they work great, I never really needed to restart them. However more recently I started having this issue where my PCs and Mac desktops would get slowed down, from the typical 200mbps+ down to a measly 20mbps down. It will resolve itself after I restart the PC though. Have you ever experienced anything like this?

BTW how easy is the hack that converts routers into satellites? Iirc the router resale prices are much much lower than satellites so thatd be interesting for me.

Bought the other Orbi 3 pack from costco about 2-3 years ago and it covers 2 houses for us. They are right next to each other and connectivity is strong. No issues that a reboot hasn't fixed.

I had the Orbi system (slower model) and it worked great, but have since upgraded to Eero 6 Pro to enjoy Wifi 6.

Price wise, this is a great deal but if money isn't an issue, I recommend the Eero 6 pro mesh system!

I cannot agree more. I have only had negative experiences with Orbi. If you unplug any of the satellites or god forbid, a power outage occurs, you will spend hours upon hours getting the system up and running again. Oftentimes, you will need to reconfigure ALL your devices again to reconnect to the network.

One hacky workaround (that may not work anymore so YMMV) was when my routers disconnected and had to be reconfigured, I set it up with a new SSID. Once the system was back up, I'd swap it back to the old SSID recognized by my devices and there was a higher chance it would start working again without reconfiguration.

All this is to say I would not recommend Orbi at any price.
It's funny, i had EXACTLY the same issues but with my Eero. I actually dumped the Eeros for that reason - if power went out the damn things would not come back online. Each device had to be hard reset. And because they only have an app, it may it even more annoying.

Maybe there is something inherently wrong with all these damn things!
