Cons
1. Heavy – Especially compared to my dell Inspiron 13 5310 (I know that's a slightly smaller laptop but still the weight difference is massive)
2. Only 1 thunderbolt 4 port
3. Touchscreen not the greatest imo. I was trying to read a manga by swiping using the touchscreen and so many missed swipes. Unusable for swiping to read manga like an iPad (let me know if there is a fix for this)
Overall, very few laptops at this price point come with thunderbolt, which I need to connect to my monitors. So even though I am dis-appointed with the touchscreen, I plan to keep it.

usb MicroSD reader - https://a.co/d/5XGirSF
However the Xe iGPU is a little faster. It also has 4x the SSD size. Also have a microSD slot and a fingerprint reader as well as two usb-c with DP and PD as well as two usb 3.1. All for $150 more than the asus
If you don't mind paying $150 more and has no need to ever go beyond 16GB ram, then the lenovo might better.
If you are only doing normal office task and web and email, then 16GB and 11th gen won't be obsolete anytime soon.
My next upgrade will likely the dell 5420 which has i5-1145G7. This laptop has TWO sodimm slots, TWO thunderbolt ports, one HDMI2.0, one microSD, one LAN port, two usb-A

$342 after tax and shipping, had it shipped to me in FL.
Bought the Corsair 16GB SODIMM slot from Best Buy for about $38 after tax on sale, that was linked earlier in the thread.
A bit of trouble "prying" open the laptop after removing the screws, but the RAM change was easy after that.
Reasonable performance. Trying to keep it in S Mode for now bc I suspect it runs lighter this way.
I disagree with comments about build quality and screen quality. Screen is plenty bright and razor sharp. 1920x1200 resolution is more than enough for a lil 14" screen. Touch response is OK, not bad and not great. I don't feel any flimsiness at the hinges or in the rigidity. It's not a bank vault, but nothing wrong here either. LED keyboard, and trackpad numpad are much appreciated. Chicklet style keys are nicely spaced and have good feedback.
At 3.3lbs and 0.75" thin, this definitely falls under a thin and light category.
If you're willing to do the RAM upgrade, $400 all-in gets you an excellent budget laptop just to get work done. The compromises are the i3 is weak compared to any i7 or i9, and the battery life is not great.
FWIW, I got 8,600 multi-core score on Cinebench R23 when plugged in. I think around 6,800 when running on battery. No tweaking or adjusting settings.

Quick question, I changed the RAM as well (first time, using the link above too) pretty easy to remove and replace with a new one in. But once that is done, closed it and press on the power button. Screen is all black, seems like no power, not running even after charging. Anything I missed it? I also added the old RAM back and still black screen.
Phew it works . Thank you so much!
