So I haven't done a true battery test, but the closest I got was web browsing while letting a game (Oldschool RuneScape) run in the background. Brightness was just under halfway, and refresh rate was 60hz. I got about 2.5hrs on that setup. I read some reviews claiming 8-9hrs on a true video only battery test.

TLDR: It should be really good for a windows machine non gaming.

The option isn't there on the Lenovo site yet as this one is out of stock (the one with the 7940HS is in stock, but not customizable, however). Hopefully they will have back in soon so that a 32gb variant is available again.

Incredible laptop. Screen is better than my legion 7 pro. Its very snappy and can handle anything you throw at it. Don't let the 16 gig of ram trolls turn you off to this steal of a deal at under 900 open boxed.

Open box was very enticing but the 16gb is a killer for me unfortunately. I'm not sure if Lenovo discontinued this, they only offer the 7940hs 16gb model on their website now.

Purchased a few weeks back coming from a MacBook Pro. Laptop is loud if gaming in anything other than quiet mode. Good news is performance is still very decent in quiet mode (60watts or so to the 4060) which is near silent. Speakers are comically bad. Screen is phenomenal. Battery life can be decent once you tweak settings but I haven't found it to be terribly consistent. On a few occasions the laptop has gotten hot and the battery rapidly drains without an apparent cause on my part. Charger can charge the laptop very rapidly. Keyboard backlight only has two levels of brightness and I wish there was a dimmer setting. Overall pretty nice in my opinion, seems aimed at customers looking for an office laptop that can also game and pretty much nails it.

No, and neither do their chat reps, but this does seem to be the case. Up until end of last week, they had a customization option to configure your model before ordering. Considering this is the one of the only Legions that didn't get a refresh this year, the removal of configuration options seems to suggest this model is on its way out the door. I've been watching it because I wanted to configure a 32GB model next big sale, but I think I missed my opportunity. That said, I picked up this 16GB model a month ago on this BB sale and I've been pleased, just would like to have had the memory overhead.

For those comparing it to the G14 and using the RAM as a strike against it, it's worth pointing out that the 2024 G14 also switched to soldered RAM. Keep that in mind in your comparisons.
