You can pay for an Uber XL, and they'll be able transport the TV safely. I'm able to fit a 65" TV in my GMC Terrain without any trouble.

Visited a store that had stock but they were only marked down by 30%. Asked the team lead if they could work their markdowns and they very generously agreed, bringing it to $950 after red card for the 65"! Thanks OP!

How are you checking store stock? Target itself shows few limited stock (1 or 2) but Brickseek doesn't display those stores as having any.

Just picked one up at Phoenix South Mountain for $999. In store showed 2k, online showed 1.5k, but is scanned for 1k.
There was still 1 left on the floor in box.

I have to inform them that you're not getting the full picture quality of a TV if you have to be looking way up to it, not even to mention the neck strain. The picture quality of most TVs mounted so high o a wall I guess doesn't make a difference, but OLED & Neo Qleds, those deserve to be viewed at sitting eye level.
