They're not going to replace a circular saw or table saw, as the depth is limited, and they're not going to replace an angle grinder due to lower power and being more a cutting tool than a grinding tool. However, they're a lot faster, easier, and more flexible for most thinner materials. I have a similar tool from a different manufacturer and it's one of my go-to tools for a lot of projects.
This tool is similar to an angle grinder but allows for more controlled cuts.

This tool is similar to an angle grinder but allows for more controlled cuts.
The cordless kit doesn't come with the blade, but there is a flush cut blade that is very useful. I had window jambs that were too long after replacing drywall that was a game changer being able to cut them down on 10+ windows.
I have used it to cut metal pipe, tile and to remove grout. Very useful tool in some situations, but not something I use all the time.
