They definitely don't make a 60Ah wall charger with internal battery like this, nor would they sell it for only 87 bucks
This product is so long in the tooth, it is one of the last to be replaced or updated by Anker. I have been using this for 3-4+ years. I got it when the m1 air came out. That gives you an indication of how long it has been around.

It still works btw since the first day i got it. Can mostly charge my m2 Air or pro max phone twice.

Only issue is it freaks out between dual usb-c charges like my air and my phone, so i daisy chain my phone to my air. no issue.
Are you talking about the one described below that is a green cube? I'm pretty sure the main draw to this one in this post is the small compact size and the fact it has dual purpose (charging block and portable powerbank), not the amount of mAh you can get per dollar.

Anker Power Bank, 60,000mAh Portable Charger 60W with Smart Digital Display
Item #: A1294061
- Massive Power for All: Get the ultimate emergency power source for all your devices with a massive capacity of 60,000mAh. Charge an iPhone 14 over 10 times, a MacBook Air up to 2.9 times, or power a 3W LED lamp for 42.3 hours.
- Simultaneous Charging: Features 60W and 27W USB-C ports, allowing you to charge your phone and laptop simultaneously—ideal for quick power on the go.
- Stay Safe and Secure: The retractable light and an SOS button provide emergency lighting for safety during power outages or other emergency situations.
- Power Up Sustainably: Recharge the power bank seamlessly via solar panels, providing sustainable charging for your devices on the go.
- What You Get: Anker 548 Power Bank (PowerCore Reserve 192Wh), 1.9 ft (60 cm) USB-C to USB-C cable, welcome guide, worry-free 3-year warranty, and our friendly customer service. (Note: Wall charger and XT-60 cable not included)

The one described above it pretty neat though. Probably good for camping if you do devices when camping and need a large powerbank.

Seems like an ok deal to be able to travel with less items (power bank, MacBook Air charger, etc.).

My issues is if I wanted to fast charge the 13" MacBook Air M3 I would need 67W per Apple. Doe this mean it won't charge any faster than the included 35W block because it doesn't meet the 67W threshold for 'fast charging'? Or does it still charge faster than the 35W just won't do the advertised fast charging of 50% in 30 minutes?
These put out 65W on one port which should essentially max out the charging rate on a MBA. It'll charge much faster with this (65W) adapter/bank than it would a 35W adapter.

All these newer USB-C Macbooks work off of power delivery which means they'll charge based on what the charger is capable of. I've charged my 14" MBP off anything from a 5W USB-A charger (which basically just maintains the battery when idling the machine), all the way up to various 60-100W+ adapters. It won't always pull the charger's max rate, it's adaptive (as the battery gets above 60% it'll start decreasing the charging rate).

I'd probably avoid a combo unit like this and just stick with a nice compact ~60W GaN charger with 2x USB-C and a separate power bank for when battery is actually needed - but that's just me. These bigger units often don't like to stay plugged in.

Thanks for the info. I ended up ordering it so we'll see how it behaves. My main concern was to have something that I can travel with to lighten the load of chargers and power banks. At home I will probably still be using the 35W Apple charger that came with the MBA. I'm not a heavy user of my laptop so I don't think I'll be charging too much while the battery still fresh and can last a while.

I think I tried it once with the bigger 25000mAh Anker unit? I think it would fill up a Macbook Air but it's heavy and more than 1lb so I don't carry it. I just bring a GAN charger like you said

perplexity told me

Based on the information provided in the search results, a 25,000 mAh battery can charge a 66.5 Wh battery approximately 1.3 times.

I have one of these and I love it! I keep it in my Steam Deck case and it's perfect for charging the deck, along with my phone or any controllers or whatever. And I love being able to plug it into the wall or just use it as a portable charger. My only complaint is that it definitely sags in weaker wall outlets, which is a bit annoying, but overall I love mine, and might pick up another one or two, for use with the Switch or just as a general carryaround in backpacks or whatever.

I just picked this up for $67 from B&H (brick & mortar) in a random store encounter when I needed a backup charger for my Insta360 X2 during eclipse day when my 4000mah was running out from a sunrise to sunset to timelapse. Took it out of box at noon, and didn't need to swap out till 7p.

Only gripe is if you have "loose" outlet receptacles, the heavy weight of the battery on the opposite end may cause this charger to sit slightly out of the outlet.

My GF travels with one of these. I think it's the most terrible idea ever. (I travel with a super light weight 65W GaN charger and a separate 60W power bank when I might need one.) She loves it. The rationale for this thing is, you never need to worry about whether your power bank is charged up before a trip. I think that's weak. My power bank is always charged up after each trip.

I have this and absolutely love it. It's perfect to toss in my briefcase daily — usually I have an outlet nearby, but if not, this can also do the trick. Highly recommended.

As someone else mentioned, it can get a bit confused with two things plugged into USB C ports, but I haven't had that problem in a few months.

Because it is profitable at this price. They may lower it if it is more profitable at a lower price, for example if there are too few buyers at $60, they may reduce it to $40 for more buyers, or even $20 if it maximizes their profits. Simple as.

50% in 30m only happens in perfect condition, there's a (**) with "Charge time varies with settings and environmental factors; actual results will vary." on Apple website. Apple loves to do marketing stuns.. Majority of the time your Mac will charge at a lower rate than 67W. This is due to battery and thermal monitoring system within the Mac/charger to prevent damage to your devices. This one charge your Mac with up to 65W based on condition and plug in an outlet, similar to the 67W charger, 2W rating doesn't make a difference in consumer products. As a portable, it only do up to 30W.

I love anker but there are way better combo ac charger-battery packs on Amazon now for not just less money but that do a better job. For example, ones that have cables built in and wireless charging and digital displays.

Anker needs to step their game up here and this is not worth $65

I have this and got it when it was $40 from HSN. It's a no brainer at $40. At $60 it's pricey.
