Update: I ordered these on 4/25 and were marked shipped the same day. Scheduled to arrive on 4/29.

Inspired by the Wilson Staff V6 irons and designed to meet the performance requirements of our Tour Staff players, Staff Model CB irons feature modern control, workability, and forgiveness with a classic look and feel that pays tribute to their long history of era-defining irons.

Features:

Tri-Brace Stabilizer on the back of the clubhead helps transfer more energy to the ball while delivering incredible sound and feel

Twenty grams of high-density tungsten in the toe of long and mid irons enhances head stability at impact and lowers the center of gravity

Forged 8620 carbon steel face is backed by an integrated impact mass area provides a solid, muscle back-like feel but with a cavity back design

Grip: Golf Pride Tour Velvet

Condition: New

No. Not really. Google game improver irons. Plenty of options out there. Callaway golf preowned is a good spot with the next sale likely the weekend of the US Open.

Good luck. Golf is a geeat game.
If you know…you know. I have to Tour V6 irons and I can't part with them. The CB's are amazing and feel is as good as any forged iron out there. This is a steal if you're a player. Check your ego, you will be pleasantly surprised.

If you want something in between I think the D9 forged still has some forgiveness but being a forged club it will have better feedback on ball striking.

I just bought the D9 forged. I hit them before buying at PGA super store and liked them. I'm a 10-12 handicap. Did I make a mistake not buying these instead?

I love them. Like I mentioned, I retired my P790's for these, which these are considered a rip off of. On average I gained about 15% with each club. I'd do it again 100%.

Did your local PGA superstore show these as a stocked item, or did they just have a demo? Curious if mine would have them...

They had the D9 forged on display for $800. I told him about the Maple Hill deal and he said that is an insane deal that is cheaper than the 'at cost' price he could buy them for. I was hitting them the same as other player distance irons Like Mizuno and Callaway. I didn't see the CB deal until after I bought the D9 forged and not sure how they compare

Trying to decide between these and the D9 forged but having a hard time as it seems they are fairly comparable. Are D9 just slightly more forgiving and higher hitting?

D9 forged are more of a semi-game improvement iron. Wider sole and top line with stronger lofts.

I've been wringing my hands between them too... hit both this week (7i), and the differences were "as advertised" - but I was surprised by the magnitude. The D9 forged played a full club longer than the staff CB with much less distance drop-off on off center strikes. The CB felt much better on pure strikes, and you knew where your miss was. The D9f felt good, but not as pure and hard to feel the ball position. Center strike was unmistakable, but the rest of the face felt vague. I really wanted to talk myself into the CBs, but ultimately D9F is smarter choice for me.

Context: I play infrequently and am inconsistent ball striker who loves a pure strike with a players iron, but ultimately have no business playing them. After tons of research, this review [pluggedingolf.com]sealed the deal on the D9F. As much "help" as I'm going to get without giving up the consistency and ability to score when I'm hitting it well

Full disclosure: actually hit the 2024 CB and the Dynapower Forged - but pretty clear they are functionally the same clubs as their predecessors
