This deal is through the same seller, Beach Camera, just saying… I'd go the GT route all things equal because there's no sales tax.

OK, just bought this for $2802. My third TV in life. My current TV is a 50" Panasonic Plasma TC-50PG15 I bought in 2009 that is still beautiful and amazing viewing angles.

I was waiting for Costco deal - I had the listing as my home page so I'd notice any price drops. It fell a little a few days ago, nothing I would consider a deal, and is now out of stock.

Walmart says they allow 30 day returns in store even though its beach camera, that was main reason I wanted Costco was for the return policy.

This or the Samsung S90C at $1800-2000? I heard that not having Dolby vision isn't a big deal anymore. And personally I will need a stand with this and will need to spend another $150-200 getting one. At that point it's $1000 more than the S90C. I've always liked LG though, and their processing of streaming videos is a lot better than Samsung. Decisions decisions…

Sounds like you should look into the C series which is more comparable to the S90C anyway and much closer in price. This TV is a grade above the S90C which is why it cost more.

I don't think the C3 is in the same league, as it doesn't have MLA and can't compare with QD-OLED. Not that the price is the most important point, as I want to get the best. But just as I can't really argue that the G4 is $1500 better than the G3, I'm not sure if the G3 is $1000 better than the S90C. I already spent more than $15k renovating my home theater, and will be getting a $4k receiver, and even own a LG B7A as my current OLED. I was originally going to get the G3, but after doing more research it seems like the S90C would trade blows with the G3 but at a much better value. At $2k I would even get the S90C and then upgrade in 2-3 years instead of the normal 5-7 years for me.

G3 is about 200 nits brighter than the 90c. HOWEVER, its color brightness is much lower, that white subpixel is responsible for the majority of G3's peak output.

LG WRGB white light collapses the gamut inward. It turns reds pink/orange, it turns green less green/yellow, it turns blue less blue and slightly purple.

QD oled is end to end color, all the light is tristimulus RGB, no dirty white pollution. woot

S90C peaks at ~1150-1200 nits. Can you see the difference in highlight detail between 1200 and 1400nits, Most people, No.

Can you they see desaturation where the bright highlights look washed out? YES. yummy

Right, that's what I've researched. Not sure why people downvoting my post above. Some people consider everything LG puts out as gold, and not that I'm not a fan of LG, I've always thought it was the only option too until recently. But now that I've done more research, especially watching Stop the FOMO, S90C is legit a good competitor, to G3, not C3 (as the non MLA makes it not on par with QD-OLED technology). With the insane price cuts on the S90C lately, it's very naive not to seriously consider it as a contender. I have a whole bunch of 4K hard media with a DV Blu-ray player, but not having DV these days mean less than they used to before.

DV is a scam. Don't fall for it. It's like IMAX ENHANCED, completely meaningless when it hits the screen because tv manufacturers do not implement it correctly. yummy

Would you rather have the better color brightness of the 90C or the better low-quality content smoothing of the G3?

I received my g3 from this post. I'm so excited that everyone I know is sick of me talking about it. So any questions I'm happy to answer.

Damn I was so excited about this TV, to replace my Panasonic Plasma TC-P50G15 I bought in 2009. That TV still works great, but I was moving it to basement for kids to use.

My 77" LG G3 I bought from walmart.com via beach camera using this deal is already broken, 8 hours on the panel and there is a vertical line of missing pixels Frown

Yep that's a bad panel. FWIW LG service is top notch, but I'd still ask the retailer for an exchange
