We jumped over to Bosch for the fridge as we've had great experience with their dishwasher. Fingers crossed this fridge lasts longer than 5 years!
Tech is came last week with New Compressor but also needed to replace the coil, he did not have New coil so coming tomorrow to replace both.

I wish I knew this 6 months ago. I junked my 12 year old lg for compressor issues that home warranty refused to repair.
I had been watching the price of the fridge daily for months.
It seems that they just randomly adjust the prices of these daily regardless of the sale.
The prices seem to fluctuate between 50 and a couple hundred off daily.
One random day i was looking and the fridge I was eyeing was $600 lower than it had been every day the month prior.
No new sale no-nothing and I jumped on it, within 12 hours it was back to it's more normal price.
So I say all this to say the sales don't really seem to matter, keep an eye on the price and buy when you feel it is low enough to your liking.
My opinion so far on the big fridge is it is great. Lots of room and plenty of ice makers.
The mini fridge while nice is hard to regulate the temp. I have it below it's "safe" recommended setting and it fluctuates between 32-36 degrees. If i put it at the recommended setting, everything would freeze. It gets crazy cold.

Not the same model. This one is older, smaller, and my store will not deliver.
Had this same problem just had to buy a new one yesterday! It was pricey to fix so I had to buy a new one

It makes little sense to invest that kind of money into a 6 year old fridge when even the repair guys say it'll fail within 6 months. I just chalked it up as an expensive lesson in avoiding LG on any future appliance purchases. It's a shame, because I was really eyeing their single-unit stacked washer/dryer combo.

Hmmm. That's interesting. My fridge has been unplugged and relegated to the back of the barn. I can pull it out, clean it up, and call these guys for the repair. I wonder if they'll farm it out, or have true LG employees take care of it. The only concerning issue is that the repair warranty is only 90 days. Given the reluctance of their three recommended appliance repair centers' to recommend anything other than a complete refrigerator replacement, that's not particularly compelling.
Will call them in the AM.
My last LG refrigerator was 15 years ago. It's still running just doesn't make ice, why I'm looking for a new. But it seems like the more bells and whistles you put in it, the more likely it's breakdown sooner.
We have the ice amd water in door. Love that feature!! And yes, we use that daily. Have had ours for 15+ years. Still works just doesn't make ice. Need ice!! 😆
It is the exact same model number Model #LRFOC2606S
Lowes says Overall Capacity (Cu. Feet) 25.5
Costco says Overall Capacity 25 cu. ft. & Up
So I would say it is the same. Costco rounded up to 26
