Bullseye Deals via Ebay[ebay.com] has 12-Piece GreenPan Titanium Coated Knife Block Set for $25 - 20% w/ in cart discount (or with code HOMEANDGARDEN24 )= $20. Shipping is free.
I would prefer a titanium coated stainless steel knife any day of the week over a ceramic coated knife. This is a great deal. Considering places like macys and kohls are asking close to 200$ for the same thing 😱
Titanium coating, if it actually exists, does absolutely nothing for the knife. If such a coating is on the edge, it would be sheared off the moment the blade is sharpened or even honed. It's a gimmicky marketing ploy. And what exactly is a "ceramic coated knife"? What is a ceramic coating?

Just my opinion....
But if I were looking for quality kitchen knives, I would probably avoid any set that said " Ceramic or Titanium Coating". To me, that is a red flag that somebody is marketing a cheap set of knives.
There are no knives..none..zero...nada.. that never need sharpening.
And it should be clear to all that if you are sharpening, the coating is wearing off at the very edge that you would want it most.
Essentially, that means a knife set like this is about as close to disposable as you will get in a kitchen knife.
It might be better to wait for a deal to pop up on a Mercer (Renaissance or Genesis) knife or set.
There are others too...but I have found that Mercer seems to be almost a hidden gem in the German knife market. (Almost hidden....actually a gem)
And for the love of all that is holy...if you have a quality knife set, I do not care what they tell you....NEVER wash your quality Kitchen knives in the dishwasher. Hand Wash only.
The heat of the dishwasher will take temper(Hardness) out of a knife.
What were people saying about the seller on other posts? What's so good about it? Can you sharpen it? Do they need sharpening? I thought this brand just made frying pans? Why do they need a coating anyway? Is it the same coding as on their frying pans? Is the actual titanium metal? Or particles mixed with what?
So I (74M) was recently hit by a car (2014 Honda) and died. My wife (5F) organized me a funeral (cost $2747) without asking me (74M) at all. I (74M) was unable to make it because I (74M) was dead (17 days). At the funeral I heard my dad (15M) and other family members talking about how they wish I could be there and now I feel bad for not showing up. AITA?
