My local Target had the 65" Samsung The Frame TV on clearance for $999.99 of a out $950 with the Red card. I put YMMV because I have no idea how widely available this deal may be. They had several other TVs on clearance as well for pretty good prices. Here are some other examples...

LG 55UR9000 $349.99
Samsung UN55CU8000 $349.99

100% no call. Bought stuff from crazy discounts on here and employees see it and buy it. Has happened several times.

This set is designed to display the same artwork for extended periods of time. There is a reason LG's OLED panels force their artwork wallpaper/gallery mode to change images every 10 seconds.

When I saw frame side by side with OLED and mini led, I had no interest in buying the frame.
They are for different purposes. The matte finish with the special screen design on the frame allows it to pass off as art on the wall.

I have an OLED TV as well, and while it is a much better experience for watching media, it would be terrible as a wallpaper and quickly burn in.

Oh boy... I almost convinced myself to go with The Frame in our living room (Happy wife, happy life) instead of building a pop-up cabinet housing a 65" OLED screen. You make it sound like the picture quality difference is pretty dramatic. I can picture myself watch a football game in the future and silently thinking: "This picture f#@king sucks!".... but we have artwork! Maybe I should dust of my woodworking tools and start building a cabinet.

One should buy this if they want a physically handsome TV, not one that displays an above average picture. It does not have any sort of localized dimming, but does have the One Connect Box. This is probably the right rice for this given the specs, IMO.

agreed. Most of the employees dont care. This was an issue 15 years ago. It is possible that an employee might grab one, but much less prevalent than it used to be. The reality is that they already know the TVs are on clearance. This isnt a small item gathering dust quietly in a locked cage somewhere. The TV clearance has been a pretty big clearance event in all the stores.

yeah....not happening. When gas prices were $2 and brickseek worked most of the time, it was a different story. the risk/reward is a lot higher now and most people wont listen to you. I call all the time for everything and have never had an issue.

Yes, employees already know about the initial clearance and have an idea of when the next % drop will happen, but a lot of them aren't up to date with the markdowns immediately until someone buys it. Especially when they haven't manually updated the yellow tags. While majority of them don't care, I have experienced employees telling me that they would have grabbed it if it lasted long enough for 70% off. So you can call them up all you want, but once these high end tvs or electronics hit 70% off, calling them is a very bad idea.

I would bet that the quantity of this item that is still available at 70% off is less than 4% nationwide. And most of that would likely be in small communities in the middle of nowhere or in some cases, bad inventory not showing a box in the back stockroom. Its just not going to matter here for the majority of people. Looking forward to the people who return/rebuy at 70% claiming they "just got it for 70% off" as if they just walked into the store and it was just sitting there.
