Oh I know what you mean. I think the next cheapest baritone option is Danelectro
The nice thing about those is that they're nearly 30 inch scale. Thats close to a bass VI, which is something else I'd like but weigh nearly 10lbs and they have a not so good tremolo that I don't need.
That's one of the ones I was looking at. But as much as I love telecasters, My ribs and arms hate them. It's not bad standing up but since I play mostly sitting down it's not enjoyable. If someone made an affordable tele baritone with a forearm contour and belly cut I'd be all over it.

Head over to Warmoth and make the body just the way you like it. They have great necks too, including baritones and SSs.

Yeah this is a solid idea. I wonder if it'd be more expensive or cheap to do a Frankenstein build of sorts. A preferred shape squire body, some other 27-30" scale length neck, locking tuners, graphtek nut, decent bridge, knock off pickups matching the impedance you're trying to get (obviously, never gonna be 1:1 cuz magnet, coil wildings etc etc), decent pots and switch and other aesthetic hardware.
Now that I think of it, I WOULD be expensive, cuz all these little bits would add up, and the setup/intonation costs if you're not well versed in the arts.
MF's 'Stupid Deal Of The Day' is 2 Hurcules Stands for $59.98
Hmmm...methinks you don't understand "real" GAS. Cause if you did you'd be getting their 5 guitar rack. On sale. With 2 extra yolks free, so you can get 7 on therw. But move your hollowbodies to the wall hangers and add three more yolks and fit 10 on the rack. Then you can remove a few yolks, move anything with a trem to your other racks, and get 12 hardtails in there. Then, you wait patiently for the next deal of the day on the "5" rack while guitars keep coming in and lean on various pieces of furniture throughout the house. That's the face of addiction...

Have owned this since June of 23. It's an awesome guitar and the pickups do actually sound good. If offset is your style and you want a unique guitar that isn't a Jaguar or Jazzmaster knockoff you will love it.
I have to say resisting this at $299 and now $269 shows how much I've matured.
Not to mention that the bass that's coming this week will fill up the remaining available guitar stand and if I bought another guitar I'd have to buy another guitar stand.
Ooh what bass? Bass deals are not super common around these parts.

I'm curious if it shipped with a gig bag. I checked the delivery details and it says 12lb weight, but the guitar itself is 7ish lb. Obviously, packaging cardboard and other bits take up weight. I wonder if the gig bag is baked into the extra 5lbs.

Trick is to buy a 10 guitar holder when you have 2.

I agree. All the unboxing videos I've seen have a pretty nice bag included.

I just received mine. No gig bag. The videos you saw were probably for the deluxe version.
Overall it's a great guitar. Setup was good out of the box, I only did some minor adjustments. Build quality is very solid and it sounds great as well. Some people might not like the rocker switches but this is pretty minor. The plus to them is that you have a built in kill switch.
I'd recommend this to any guitarist.
