    Ace has the same package except with a 4AH battery for $10 more. I have these and they work fine, although I dont like Egos system for extending the trimmer wire.

    Adjust the handle so it is balanced with the larger battery, takes less than a minute. You'll probably find you like the string trimmer and a 4ah or higher after you adjust the balance point

    Sir, if your string is breaking prematurely, just take what string you have left and throw it into a bucket of water overnight to rehydrate it. I hated my Ego trimmer until I did this. Now the string does not break very often.

    Can the trimmer also be used as an edger around driveway and sidewalk? Or would that require a completely different EGO item or just an attachment?

    Yep, simply turn it sideways and keep going. I installed my handle slightly rotated so I can get a comfortable grip when I'm trimming and also when I'm edging.

    I got a similar deal like 5 years ago with the 2.5 battery and it's still trucking. I have a 2/3 acre yard but limited trimming. I use the blower every couple days for a few minutes to blow out the garage and have to charge it maybe once a month

    Just got the one with the 4ah battery from ace and the blower stopped working, i thought i was doing something wring and searched on reddit turns out the blowers are known to stop working way before the warranty

    Agreed, i do the same. 2.5 on trimmer, 5 on blower. 2.5 is plenty to do the front and back yards

    You really should have a 4amp battery for these tools. You can get by with 2.5amp on the trimmer but a 4amp battery would make this a solid deal.
