16GB has always ran everything I throw at it, even with lots of Adobe apps running multiple projects. Some people may need 32gb in their line of work, but in short form content creation, and software development or gaming I don't ever max my 16GB.
I like the higher res screen, I'm sure it looks nice, but from a gaming standpoint even highest FPS shooters with low settings aren't usually going to be stable at 240hz on this laptop and I don't enjoy playing a small screen.
Really nice rig and for some people this will check all the boxes. Compared to this I sacrificed this better quality screen for a larger screen and larger storage and saved about $130. If was looking for a 14 inch I would be giving it really good consideration.

I bought this about a month or two ago. So far, great laptop. Runs any games I've thrown at it, screen can get very dim and ultra bright for whatever you need. Very light/portable with pretty good specs. Haven't run into issues with the soldered ram, but wish it were upgradeable, but for the price I was willing to go for it anyway. The SSD size is easily upgradable though, but I would have paid the $200 extra for a 4TB SSD had they offered it - rather than just having a spare SSD just lying around after the upgrade. Overall, great buy for the price for me.

Not sure if it'll last, but it does has a solid build/quality feel to it, so I certainly have no reason to suspect it's durability over a few years would be an issue. Heat and fan noise are highly dependent on load - if you're playing something that is AAA and using top tier settings, then on your lap it will get warm (I usually use a controller so can't speak to keyboard heat), but not so hot to necessitate kitchen heat mitts to handle it. If I'm playing a AAA game, I usually use headphones and the fan is a total non-issue. When I'm on battery alone, I usually use the "predator sense" software to put it in "quiet" mode (performance will suffer) and it's virtually silent.
Predator sense is hit or miss in terms of responsiveness. I've had the keyboard lighting suddenly revert to the initial pattern it started with (which I don't care for) and switching settings in that software has been 50/50 in terms of successfully implementing what I've selected. A power cycle or log out/back on has solved it, but it's frustrating. Not sure if it's completely a software issue or some user error on my part, but I don't have any reason for why it reverts and why I can't simply make it respond to what I want when it happens.
