As for a potential DLC, I doubt it. As a remake, we didn't see DLC for the Mario superstar collection, Luigi's Mansion and so forth. These kind of games never had any DLC. Nintendo would rather release games that are designed to be online multiplayer and have DLCs for it. That's why I don't mind buying these games in other regions as they are usually $20-30 cheaper than the NA region from release. Currently play Asia has a 3 for $100 deal. Got their newer released heavy hitters for that price (Princess Peach, Luigi's Mansion 2, Mario RPG and so forth). Again this all boils down to preference and some people mind, some people don't. I fall in the latter. I just try to always get the best deal.

Don't buy from GamingCenturyDeals on Groupon. They ship Asia/Middle East region copies of games while advertising the US versions.
