Not going to be for everyone. But, if you've already got a compatible track system and are in the M18 system, it is the cheapest I remember seeing.

What's better the makita or milwaukee? I'm on both platforms already
That's a subjective question. Simply put: both are great saws. I like the M18 because of its riving knife and only needing 1 battery. Its ergonomics are also a little better with a lock for blade changes & easier to use depth stop. In contrast, the Makita ultimately has a little more power with its 2x18V battery configuration.

I've had all three Festool track saws… Milwaukee is lighter.. cuts just as well imho.. although not as deep as the Festool 75
Honestly the M18's not quite as light as I thought it'd be - it's actually heavier as a bare tool. It's really only lighter with the CP 3.0 HO battery (which it will run on) - with a 6.0 HO it's about the same weight as the Makita with 2x 5AH batteries.

I usually run a 5ah in mine and it seems to last for what I'm using it for… but you're Absolutely correct in that the size of the battery changes the weight… the festool is a twin battery and you can only cut 1/4" materials with the single battery in the festool

I don't think you can go wrong getting the Milwaukee imho

How's the XGT? I haven't seen reviews comparing XGT to milwaukee
Love it, no issues, smooth. I'm 90% m18, 10% xgt. Can't compare to anything. It seems like the red has something extra that helps with splitting. Also has easier depth adjustment.

Awesome saw! Picked it up a while back. So much nicer than a table saw for a lot of things.

I got the WEN CT9110 110-Inch Tracks and they work PERFECTLY! The anti tipping latch and tension knobs work! Got a set of WEN clamps too. The PowerTec clamps dont fit as tightly in the groves. I'm also using it with a Ridgid battery adapter since I'm not in the Milwaukee ecosystem. Works a treat! Doing my house siding and this things a LIFE SAVER! Perfect cuts! Make sure to get the 20mm arbor blades. I made the mistake thinking it used the same size as my circular saw; it does not.

You and me both. The M18 works fine with my Makita tracks, but I'd like to sell the Makita, and it'd probably be easiest to do that with its tracks.

Solid saw imo.
Bought it with the router back when they had that special going for under $400 and no regrets.
I've used it somewhat consistently on some side projects and have not had an issue running it with both the 3.0 XC and HO
If you're making long consistent tips or passes, then yeah the batteries will die on you than a higher amp battery but finished a project with multiple long cross cuts and rips with only one fully charged battery dying on me.

WEN tracks are the way to go, I didn't get the clamps as you don't really need them, but honestly, I might start clamping my shtuff down as I tend to only bump into things in my garage/shop lmao.

If someone says that they'd rather use a table saw in place of setting a track saw up ahead never used a Tracksaw!

Nice deal! Been eyeing a track saw and milwaukee seems to be the best balance of features and price all things considered.

Is it the absolute best track saw? No. Fes tools generally takes that award...but at nearly twice this price ($700 with one 55" track)

But for 400 bucks with the track this is an easy win for me. The reviews call this the Frankenstein track saw ... because it pulls features from all the other top models. Let's see if I actually build all the s*** i see professionals building on youtube now lol

It's a good saw. If you're planning to cut 8/4 or better it will bog down on standard batteries. Rips usually require 3+ passes.
I just ripped some 8/4 Ash and it didn't struggle or burn even a little bit.

I did a bunch of cuts in 1 1/2 butcher block with this making floating shelves and never had a problem. I have the powertech tracks and a rail square off amazon, it's amazing how fast you can make a square repeatable cut vs using a table saw or a standard circular saw.

Ps this fits with the clamps and rail square in the tall half packout box.

I've had both, the Milwaukee hands down is better. Started with the Makita, returned and bought the Milwaukee. It's much nicer.

I know it exists. It's just not one I've used or owned and can directly compare & provide info for based on hands-on experience, like the M18 and Makita 36V.

Do you have the corded TS60 also? I'm debating between the Milwaukee and the TS60. I know they're different between batteries and corded, just don't know how much more powerful and cut quality on the festool.
