Thanks for clarifying. A glaring omission from the post. Looking up GU603VV-G16.I74060 barely gives any information on the ASUS website. Has to really dig around to find the actual specifications.

Confirmation from Ultrabookreview:

This laptop warranty is handled by Bestbuy and not directly by ASUS. After just 4 months, the laptop fails to power on. ASUS directed me to Bestbuy for warranty. Geek Squad sent the laptop to their repair facility. Estimate was provided to be 1600 to replace motherboard not covered under warranty. They cited the reason as liquid damage in charge port. There is no spill or water thrown at the laptop. Bestbuy is rejecting any motherboard fails as water damage if Protection is not purchased. There is a reason why their laptops are sold at lower price. They reject most warranty repair saying water damage unless Insurance/protection is purchased from them.

This is not really that great of a deal, 1080p screen that does not get that bright and the 2023 G14 regularly goes on sale for around this price with a 1440p screen that is brighter and has the same 4060.

It's got sleep and keyboard issues. The computer doesn't sleep when the lid is closed and the keyboard takes about a minute to wake up from hibernate before it is usable.

What's sad is that motherboards are still expensive on ebay for obsolete laptops. You would be better off buying one that was gently used for the cost of the mobo.

My first Asus was the S/Q301, 11 years ago. It still works today, though the ports are iffy. I was hoping to get that kind of longevity out of the G14 again...
