I have replaced a lot of batteries in various latitude models. It is the most accessible thing after getting the cover off so it shouldn't be too bad. Be very careful with your third party battery purchase if you don't get a genuine Dell. 80 to 90% of third party batteries lie about the actual capacity and the quality of the batteries I have never had one that came close to OEM in terms of performance.
If the battery says it's life is at 83% of original capacity I would keep it unless you're going to get a real Dell OEM battery to replace it. Third party batteries are rarely as good as an OEM battery at 80%.
Take my opinion with a grain of salt I have owned about 30 latitudes over 10 years for my business and replaced 10 to 20 batteries mostly with non OEM.
got Latitude 5320 touch highest specs. Great small machine for running Linux

if you want a cheaper 5420 with touch screen, windows hello face AND fingerprint login, here's one on ebay for $209. I just bought one. It's probably B condition. Not too bad
The regular 5420s are heavy for their size: 3 pounds 5 ounces. I can't imagine the Touch version is lighter.
The spec is great if you don't mind the extra weight. 11th gen Intel means Iris Xe graphics and better battery life, they charge by USB-C, they have HDMI2.0 output so 4K@60Hz works, and they still have a physical Ethernet jack.
As mentioned, this is a perpetual deal. Codes for other Dell models come and go, but this one seems to never expire.
11th Gen is good. Tenth is avoid even if $100. My 11th has been serving very very well for a few years now. Can do win11.
Dell will send replacement if you end up with a battery with health below 80%, I think. emailed dell telling them my battery had 75% health and they sent replacement no question asked.
