You don't know what you're talking about. It takes less than 2 hours without traffic and most people who live in Southern California know when traffic is bad.

As a fan of the original Jurassic Park, I disagree, Kaua'i is the best.

As a tourist, Maui is the best, it feels like it is its own little country without a big city. Wailea is different Hana is different from Kihei and Lahaina.

Newport to SD is pretty much 2 hours with any normal amount of traffic

wouldn't even bother with OC to LA for $100 savings, time worth more than that

It depends on how long I'm gone for but I've parked in residential areas not far from LAX and never gotten a ticket. Sometimes I rent a car. I've also had friends move my car to avoid street cleaning.

There are some great beaches on the Big Island. But they are not easy to get to and you'll need a 4x4. But you may be the only one on them.

Yeah I understand how you would avoid that area if you lived on the west side. I had some favorite restaurants on Front st and always enjoyed spending the evening eating by the water and walking down all the shops.
