Trade-in any phone or tablet in any condition to get $50 off and then sign-up for texts/emails for an additional $30 off. The OnePlus Pad is currently $80 off and you get a free Magnetic Keyboard ($150) or Folio ($30 - I don't recommend).

Cost breakdown:

$480 Pad
$150 Keyboard
$630 Total

-$80 Discount on Pad
-$150 Free Keyboard
-$50 Trade-in any condition (more for others, like $100 for iP X or $160 for iP 11; or see link https://www.oneplus.com/us/buy-oneplus-pad)
-$30 Sign-up Texts/Emails
$320 New Total

Taxes vary, I'm in CA 7.75%

The total cost for me after taxes is $344.79.

I didn't think no OLED would bother me at all but I find myself wanting to watch stuff on my phone instead.

The multitasking features don't really work as well as they seem to think and aren't as intuitive as you would hope.

No WiFi 6E which I was surprised to learn it didn't have for a tablet released in 2023.

It feels like there are no unique features or licensed apps that make great use of the marketed accessory. When you buy a tablet that comes with a stylus, you would expect features built into the OS that are custom tailored to the stylus or art/scribbling/note taking apps that come with it for free. The keyboard cover perfectly accompanies the tablet physically by how it acts as a cover and snaps on the tablet. But apart from that, it's just a keyboard. Not much is offered in the way of consuming the Android experience with a custom keyboard.
I got this info from a site review of this pad:

The OnePlus Pad comes with OnePlus' OxygenOS software built on top of Android 13. It's a lightly customized take on Android that mostly relies on Google's implementation of things like multitasking. The company is committing to three years of OS updates and four years of security patches on the Pad, both a year less than what it provides for its phones.

So not a great update length. I'll probably pass on this due to the policy.
Don't activate the student discount, even if you are a student. You won't be able to use the $30 off coupon, which is more of a discount.

Okay, be honest: How fast is your internet and what router do you have?

802.11ac averages 1.3Gbps. This has 802.11ax, which averages 1.6Gbps.

Are you really exceeding that bandwidth on a tablet? It's enough to stream 8K, let alone 4K.

As for the stylus not having any "defining" software that comes with it... the iPad doesn't exactly come with Procreate preinstalled either.

If you want more nudges on software to use that you'll probably end up wanting to replace, get a Samsung tablet with S-pen.
Without knowing how many antennas/streams the device has, the wireless networking standards aren't all that helpful in determining actual throughput ceilings.

Maybe you could clarify because it sounds like you don't think people should be able to customize the devices they've paid for.

We're not exactly the "shut up and eat it" crowd here, so I'm not sure what you were going for with this.

OnePlus is better quality than Lenovo. Only 4gb ram and slower processor on Lenovo. Lenovo is better pick for grandma.

Significantly weaker chip (e.g. 50% slower in some cases), also less RAM.

The USB-C 2.0, cannot output to extremal monitor.
still stick with Lenovo P11 Pro gen 2 6GB RAM, it supports output to 4K@60

I don't see the point how manufacturers strategize Android tablets on the market. There are tons of deals for Android phones due to high profit margin from mobile service carriers and phones are in general better on specs (CPU/GPU/RAM). So in my mind tablets shall provide better productivity features with its larger display to be able to compete with phones under the same operating system. For example, be able to work on a desktop mode (like Samsung's dex or Moto's Ready For) or cellular connectivity (which all phones have) shall be standard or at least an option for mainstream tablets. A GPS module would also help (bad example is Amazon Fire Tablets, all of them has no GPS function). The fact is most of Android tablets on market do not even have these options available. A bad example is Google's Pixel tablet. Its only targeted on in home usage which I do not see how mainstream customers would spend >$500 only for a slightly larger display (nothing compared to TV).

So I picked up the Oneplus 12 with a $300 trade in. They didn't accept my phone since it was a single carrier phone and was sent back. I haven't been charged by OnePlus yet or have any way to send it a qualifying to make up for this but hoping it slips through the cracks(has been 4 months). Do you think sending in a tablet for this deal might flag my account and draw attention to my prior mistake?

I was thinking to get this tablet but the fact that you cannot output video via USB C is a deal breaker for me at this price. I am hoping that the next iteration has that capability. Outside of that, I think this is probably one of the best Android tablets on the market now.

Just gotta look, low battery capacity will definitely lower the buying price.

I have been a OnePlus customer since the first phone came out and was offered through a lottery of sorts. I've had them since then, and I will probably remain with them. What I like about the phones is that they have pretty much state-of-the-art technology at a good price. While the price of this does not match the Samsung offer the other day, I feel that it is a more capable tablet. I didn't really need it ... But I bought it because I'm going to recycle the first generation Amazon fire tablet.

I got this for about $370 (after a little help from Samuel L Jackson) with the keyboard and stylus at Black Friday without any trade in. It's a great device and my wife loves it. It's got great screen real estate and great power. The keyboard works perfectly. The trackpad is mostly useless. The stylus is nice, with wireless charging, but has no way to store the stylus in transport as it sticks out of the keyboard case entirely and the magnetic hold isn't particularly strong. The case is ugly but that's a feature as it makes it 1% less likely to be stolen. Screen and sound are top notch.
