I meant the iPad Pro M2 is $799 and the M4 is $999 -- $200 difference for 256GB, OLED and M4.
However, the person writing the post bought the M2 iPad Pro for $650. Even with buying the M4 using the educational discount for $899, a $250 increase certainly does not seem worth it.

That was me. It was $650 from BB (price matched Costco), had $270 rewards and $250 trade in credit. Net cost on M2 iPad Pro was $130+tax. If I return the M2, I get my $270 back. I have the $250 GC still. The iPad Pro M4 is $950 right now. $950-$520 is $430.
(just redoing the math)...
So it's actually $300 more, but I might have another trade-in worth $200, so net out of pocket would again be $130+tax.
Again, just playing with the numbers but I think going 256GB, adding OLED and having an M4 would guarantee years of life for this iPad for me.
EDIT: Also included since I am a Total member, 2 years AppleCare+ and if I wanted, BB is offering 24 mo no interest financing on the balance.
Seems like that 64GB SKU should be sold only in their education or corporate sales catalogs and give the rest of us a 128GB minimum iPad. My 64GB iPad Air M1 with 18GB free could no longer do over-the-air updates because of "not enough free space" error (yes, 18GB free).
That's odd, my 64GB iPad Air 2 (2014) hasn't had more than 1GB free in years but has never had an issue getting updates. If an update is too big it gives me a message saying it'll delete apps to make enough room and then auto-reinstall them afterwards.

Yeah, not sure. It's not the apps that take up space on mine, it's the app data. Not sure if iPadOS is capable of removing that and putting it back, all I know is when I had the 64GB Air, it would not let me proceed with an update even with 10+GB free.
Yeah! Found one in Houston! There was a $355 one for $256gb as well in silver that I really wanted but decided to save money… i have a S9 Ultra as my regular use tablet. The size of this iPad just makes so much more sense.

Why not? I bought my previous iPad just to use as a HomeKit hub. And now they removed iPad from HomeKit hub list why do I need a big storage one. I only play one game on iPad since it's not on game consoles and on PC I have to use an Android simulator. Also Netflix and YouTube doesn't take too much storage. Photos and video will be taken on iPhone and stored there or iCloud. What do you need to use the storage?

My issue is that I really would like cellular, and there's NEVER any deals on cellular models!
As of right now, Best Buy has the 9th Gen 64GB with WiFi and Cellular for $379. I bought one online on the 14th and it was delivered on the 16th. So if one generation earlier and only 64GB works for you, it is a hot deal as far as I'm concerned.

Thanks. I would've definitely gotten an open box at that price
