But, for the little box, I just hope the GAIN smell is toned down. I wound up buying the deal because the price is hard to beat and my daughter pays for the cat supplies to I try to help her when possible. Hopefully not a mistake.
If you have the litter in the area you aren't often in, it should be ok. But the smell may also end up on the cat. If it's really strong, you could try mixing the litter with some unscented: put unscented in the top layer, and the scented in the bottom layer of litter.

Does anyone know if there's any difference between one being scented and unscented are there any other benefits quality wise to getting the unscented? Or is it purely the same just one is scented the other is not.

Still there for me 5 days later.
Scented litter, air freshners, fabric softeners, scented candles, etc are very bad for humans but even worse for animals.
It's only smart marketing for products we don't need, and there is absolutely nothing "fresh" about them.
Go unscented and say no to artificial scents.
