Game Details:
Mr. Run and Jump is a brand new game from Atari.
Oh no! Leap, the dog, has begun wandering towards the Dark Realm, and if he ventures too far, he'll never be able to find his way back!
It's up to Mr. Run and Jump to race through six colorful worlds, bound over obstacles, dodge deadly enemies, and save his best friend before it's too late!
Whoa what? So they actually sold enough of the retro consoles that they are producing new games? This seems like it should maybe be some cause for excitement, given all the classics they pumped out back in the day.
Or maybe not, but it's got me curious. Kind of wish I could test play this in a browser somewhere or something.

bring back cartridges. dump the trash we have now
Atari has a new 2600+ that is modern with HDMI and new controllers....but still uses the original cartridges as well as the new game cartridges they are making now.

watch some youtube videos... they have a bunch of new and old games now...check out Atari.com too.
I have a bunch of cartridges, but the console does not power up anymore. It is good to know replacement consoles are being made now. All it took was a little waiting.
Did you try a replacement power supply? If the console is the heavy sixer model you can sell it for good money even if it won't power on. Then you'd have ample money to buy the newer Atari console with the HDMI output and still have money leftover to buy games

If time travel will ever exist... this is a reason to go back to the early 80s to ensure Nintendo would never change the course of gaming history.

I've read some bizarre takes online over the years but this one is up there. Nintendo changed the course of gaming history because Atari had already massively dropped the ball and crashed the industry. You'd need to go back further and stop that from happening first, and most likely it'd still end up happening later anyway.
Imagine trying to blame Nintendo for the video game industry's problems when I don't see them buying up studios and publishers left and right and then laying off thousands of employees and closing other studios right and left.
