I use my current iPad (7th Gen) mostly for browsing, watching movies, video calls, and light gaming like Solitaire, etc. I am trying to decide whether to upgrade to the Pro M2 or the Air M2. I like the Pro because it has a better screen but I like that the Air has the camera on the landscape side. Is the screen going to be that much better on the Pro? If so, I might go that route.
I see the 64GB M1 Air for $399 at Wallmart. Then it's just $150 more to get M2 Air with better camera position, new chip and extra storage at 128GB and new pencil support lol. (Apple EDU M2 Air is $55). Seems like a worthy upgrade to M2 more for just $150
I also have to decide which ipad to trade in
12.9" iPad Pro Gen 9 year old!!! for $105 trade-in - still decent but battery is like 3 hours max. fine for bathroom use lol
ipad 7th gen like yours but with just 32GB storage $105 - speaker is horrible and not loud enough to use in bathroom while I am taking a shower/bath. Yes, I entertain myself with netflix and youtube while I shower!
ipad Mini 6 - probably keep this since I did pay for 5G also. $265 - I am trying to use this more since it's so light.

I almost am leaning towards samsung for a tablet.. I have apple devices but also android.. and thing is it almost looks like the fe's are better screenwise and all.. granted I dont think id be doing video calls anyways.. facetime I rarely use... its generally fb messenger.

I am in same boat but next month back to school starts so edu store may have 100gc which you can use to buy Apple Pencil pro. Ignoring tax difference may be under 100
This is a brand new item and it hasn't even been released yet, so any discount off of the retail price can be considered a deal.
As others have noted, the previous 11" iPad Pro is a better buy at the moment if somebody can get it for a good price, but all of those are likely to be gone pretty soon.

Yes it usually starts in June 4th…. Basically likely $100 credit and 550 so 100 goes towards 119 pencil pro

True but I am still confused if I should go for iPad Pro due to screen and Face ID… but that will not accept newer pencil and also with pencil will cost 780 + tax which in my opinion is too much for an iPad. I would have happily bought 399 m2 at Walmart if it had 128gb
