Bought this last year and I love it. It's virtually indestructible, lightweight, and keeps things cold for a full day, even longer when it's properly iced down. I use it for camping, grocery shopping, and road trips. It's strong enough to be both a seat and a step stool. It is the Toyota Corolla of coolers and I adore it.
bought one and returned. Maybe it was me but it didn't hold up cold well for me.

All environmental laboratories in FL pretty much use this cooler exclusively. Stocked with ice and samples it weighs 50-60 lbs and can be shipped FedEx pretty easily. It will hold ice for 24-36 hours if well packed but that's about it, probably a lot less if you open it frequently (especially in FL weather). That said, if you don't need it to keep ice for several days this is a great cooler for the price point.
It has been this price for months. Few years ago I bought many of them for frozen food fly as checked in bag. It was about $18 before covid.
Exactly before kovia, these things were 16 to $20.
Secondly I have used these many times to carry venison on the airline flight across the country. All I would do is freeze to me or put dry ice in it and these coolers do just fine. A great project coolers. I made a life well out of one and put it under my deck on my bass boat. If you can't keep things cold and it's cool or any other coolers, I'm easily going to say it's user error. It's not about how bearproof or anything else is cooler is, it's about insulation and air. Pack it right and keep it close. That's all you have to do. Prechill it. When necessary.
The beauty behind coolers like this, is that you don't always need Wheels because the cooler doesn't weigh anything empty. So you're only going to be caring what you put in it. I like other coolers, which I have... Very big and heavy empty... They're not good for traveling on an airline or to two day trips. This is a perfect couple of day trip. And no, none of my meat has ever been lost flying on the airline no matter how hot it is. These coolers will do exactly what you need. Again the beauty is that they weigh nothing. This is the same insulation that are in your double paying windows that keep your house insulated.. it's just air./foam... Don't believe the hype on the other stuff.
